I would wager Harun Maruf has been bought BIG TIME already.

Logically the probability is worth carrying out an investigation.

The guy first of all HAS NO ORIGINAL THOUGHT. ZERO.

This is not an attack on him. It shows he is either 1.) Completely a journalist and not a commentator like many in news business these days or 2.) He is shallow and without a creative mind.

But the thing that seriously undercuts option number 1 (objective journalist) is HE NEVER FACT CHECKS.

It is very odd. Just here using the net with the same resources open to everyone else on the web, I showed the results of quick fact check on TWO SEPARATE MAJOR NEWS STORIES HE "BROKE."

Like literally within minutes, using regular resources open to everyone on the net, I proved the stories wrong. Yet this guy with sources and resources of a big journalist couldn't?

It's not that he couldn't, it's that he DOESN'T.

ALMOST A MAJORITY, IF NOT A SUPERMAJORITY, OF HIS "BREAKING NEWS" ARE NEGATIVE ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT.

Clearly if the man has been BOUGHT and was being POLITICALLY MOTIVATED, then it wouldn't just be "negative" but INTENTIONALLY MANIPULATING/SABOTAGING.

After the Rachel fake journalist, Abdirahman Abdishakur 3 million UAE bribe money in house, Sahan Research Matt Bryden get rich pyramid scheme/tax fraud, Ainte info-for-hire spying, and Rashid Abdi's subterfuge/hiding affiliation, it remains to be seen JUST HOW DEEP THE SWAMP IS.

More and more I think the guys who busted Rashid Abdi SHOULD SERIOUSLY LOOK INTO THE AMNESTY NAIROBI OFFICE AND THE SOMALI LEAD RESEARCHER IN THAT "GOV HAS TROLLS" AMNESTY REPORT.

Heck those Twitter kids are our own Saddam and others from her to Somalispot and even my own little cousin who surprised me recently by telling me his engagement to Somali issues. There is no way to get around how much Farmaajo has inspired the imagination and activism of so many young Somalis around the world

The Amnesty Report seems rotten to me I swear especially when you realize LESS JOURNALISTS have died under this gov than previous govs and their "documentation" in the report is really just DOCUMENTING THAT AN ACCUSATION WAS LEVELED. THERE IS NO DOCUMENTATION OF THE CHARGES BEING COMMITTED JUST THAT THEY WERE MADE BY THE ACCUSERS TO AMNESTY SOMALI RESEARCHER GUY.

Yet that clearly manufactured report is the primary method to try to delegitimize the intense civic engagement we all see having developed organically.

Something smells rotten honestly. It was clearly political sabotage. And I bet Harun Maruf is also bought.
