1. It's a lie that governments before Farmaajo deserve credit.
   • World Bank and IMF ONLY initiated Debt Relief in 2019 after Somalia passed 3 CONSECUTIVE SMPs (Staff Monitored Programs)
     • That means 2016 (Farmaajo gov started in Jan of 2016) was the first year counting for the initiation as the World Bank paper says in Page 8 specifically identifying this new government made this possible
       • Here is the 2015 year report, the end of previous government......very embarrassing, high corruptopn, turn overs, no skills, no capacity, nothing....who even thought w we would be here today

2. "Debt Relief" is a program for sustainable economic financing
   • The "MONEY" we actually owe are ARREARS (i.e. what is actually due aka OUR DAYN/LOANS)
     • Those arrears (aka the actual "DEBT") have to be settled BEFORE the economic program of Debt Relief could even begin
       • THEY WERE SETTLED ON MARCH 5 WHEN WE RECEIVED ENOUGH PLEDGES FROM THE WORLD TO COVER THE MONEY WE OWE AKA "ARREARS"
         1. Decision Point: Ok we have the money for your loans....but first you have to go into financial PROBATION so you learn accountability but yes now you are eligible for FINANCIAL SUPPORT AGAIN through managed financing under our control
         2. Completion Point: Ok you have been so good in PROBATION, that now we are going to apply the money we got at Decision Point to end this case so you can be free to manage your own finances once again

ESPECIALLY with Somalia, if Farmaajo government doesn't come back, the world would be stupid to just trust them with financial freedom. Somalia has to continue to SHOW THEY DESERVE this for sometime in my opinion COMPLETION POINT should even be extended further for more supervision

That is literally a very simple way to get anyone to understand something so technical.

I forgot to add, as far back as Cabdiqaasim they all asked for DEBT RELIEF.

ASKING =/= MAKING IT HAPPEN

World Bank is clear only after Somalia passed THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE IMF SMP for end of years 2016, 17, and 18 did they engage Somalia about starting Debt Relied PROCESS.

Osob, every government has led to this point. That doesn't mean they deserve credit for something they didn't actually accomplish.

Abdiqasim and Arta were the first to seriously bring Somalis back together since last attempts in 1993. Abdullahi Yusuf clawed the Gov back to Villa Somalia against impossible odds. Sheekh Shariif ended the transition similarly against impossible odds and led to our first permanent gov. Hassan Sheekh instituted the mandate of Federalism as our foundation similarly also against impossible odds navigating everything from Hirshabelle and the Hiiraan isbaaro, Galmudug with its political landmines in every district, Konfur Galbeed with the 6 regions vs 3 regions/L Shabelle choices both powderkegs, and Jubbaland with Kismaayo/KDF vs. Gedo cliff hanger still at aj impasse today.

So when IMF observes the problems with details like low capacity and high turnover, anyone who understands the CONTEXT doesn't necessarily fault Hassan Sheekh or previous govs. Those were caused by the fact even the basic foundations of state formation weren't agreed to and which those previous govs were trying to put together.

None of that takes away from the actual credit for security reform, financial reform, and the debt relief,etg being this government. And the next government will have these in place so they can bring JUSTICE REFORM (THE NEXT BIG REFORM WAITING IN MY OPINION---OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM IS ABSOLUTELY NONEXISTENT).

Similarly, just because this government makes it possible for the next gov to do that doesn't mean Farmaajo gov deserves credit for Justice Reform even with things like being the first to arrest for human rights abuse or something.

It wouldn't even be an issue if the surly opposition did not find it so overburdening to give credit where credit is due.

I have actually been completely fair to Hassan Sheekh when credit is due, even "FACT CHECKING" our side when there was misunderstanding;

In fairness, that's not what the article says Saddam. You should actually read it lol

The article says Somalia had been very transparent and made itself available at every turn to discuss the issue, but Kenya was lazy, shockingly immature, and very arrogant which led to Somali frustrations that led them to institute a court proceeding.

Remember that it was the Hassan Sheekh government that filed the court suit

Including even that I still retain some affection for him AND Sheekh Sharif beyond just the dignity demanded by their titles;

I am definitely not in a position to remark on what the locals in Somalia feel, but I literally still find both Shaikh Sharif and Hassan Sheekh to be two guys I still like on a personal basis.

For some reason, both of them especially Hassan Sheekh I have always looked at them as non-politicians but guys who rose from civil society to find themselves where they are.

I do not second guess why the gov did what it did vis-a-vis the airport in Kismaayo shutdown but if I were Farmaajo I would have given a public apology as a form of "xurmad."

So this is really not personal at all.
