Ali Nur AUN passed away today 1999

Today April 8, 1999, we lost a hero, a well known and respected leader in Gedo, Jubaland and the whole of southern Somalia for that matter Dr. Ali Mohamed Mukhtar "Ali Nur"
Dr Ali Mohamed Mukhtar was a law professor at the Somali National University in Mogadishu(Jamacada Ummada).
He is remembered for being a intellectual and one of the brains behind SNF, he was the chairman of the SNF, and also a brave commander of the forces in the front lines. He defeated both enemies like USC who attacked Jubaland but also internal Jubaland enemies like the terrorist Al-Itihad.
Allah yarxamakum ilahay janatul firdowsa ha ka waraabiyo asaga iyo dhamaan halyeeda beesha barakaysan, who laid down their lives for a noble cause.
