I honestly can't even finish because of what I am imagining.

1. 60 Covid cases now with more than HALF tested confirmes just the last 24 hours
2. More than 55% of those tested have been positive

JUST IMAGINE WHAT THIS COULD POSSIBLY INDICATE

1. THE COUNTRY HAS NO MEANS FOR EVEN TESTING LET ALONE A MASSIVE TESTING CAMPAIGN2.

2. THE FEW TESTED WITH INTERNATIONAL HELP ARE ALARMING...MORE THAN HALF OF ALL TESTED ARE POSITIVE

3. LACK OF HEALTH CARE EVEN BASIC + SO FEW TESTS + TRIBAL/GROUP CULTURE THAT HAS PROBABLY DONE THE OPPOSITE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING

My god I was reading about the late AUN toxows passing. He was referred to Martini hospital to get treatment there from the more modern Turkey built and run digfeer hospital. He went there gasping for air only to find out, there were ventilators there, but staff don't know how to operate the instrument. Very sad state but am not surprised... We are churning out fast nursing and medical graduates that don't even know how to operate a ventilator machine.



When this subsides and international travel blockade is lifted, I am going home for a month to volunteer my skills inshallah.

We are in the internet age, those who don't know how to operate a ventilator machine could have contacted a doctor, expert, technician, etc via Whatsapp, Twitter or other apps where someone could show them live or upload a video showing how to operate. On YT, there are many instructions on how to operate, fix or do something about machines including cars, trucks, electronics, phones, etc. It isn't rocket science.

Yeah, I don't want to comment personally on any particular stories but a quick glance at the Somali blagosphere/social media landscape has me thinkingn THESE PEOPLE ARE SO SELF-ABSORBED they must be literally be like an ostrich with the neck in the ground.
