It's a tradition in Somalia that during the presidential election the incumbent Prime Minister takes part himself as a presidential candidate and goes against his boss.

I really can see Hassan Ali Khaire winning that election but he would have to win over Habar Gidir and he has to before the vote name publicly a Majerteen man he intends to appoint as his PM.
