According to Somalia News, the UAE offered to reopen the Sheikh Zayed Hospital in the Somali capital Mogadishu on the condition Somalia take part in the war in Yemen, while officially claiming the Socotra archipelago as Somali territory. The Emirati-run Sheikh Zayed Hospital offered free healthcare to Somali citizens until it was closed by the UAE in 2018, as part of a diplomatic row between Abu Dhabi and Mogadishu

Somalia has rejected as “ridiculous” an offer made by the UAE for the African state to join the war in Yemen in return for financial incentives, the country’s foreign minister has revealed.

To turn down a fistful of dollars is unsomalilike. Shame on dowlada for declining to go along with the UAE proposed cash-for-war deal.

Remember though Yemen joined the alliance against Somalia back in 1977 with Russia, Cuba to help Ethiopia.

I hope the next hag govt uses all resources to destroy al shabaab once and for all.

Indeed. What's more, Yemen generously hosts hundreds thousands of Somali refugees, not to mention equal numbers (mostly reer Waqooyis) who live there. So in addition to making a fistful of dollars, Somalia would be protecting its citizens, particularly reer Waqooyis, in that country.

I don't know about the failed state Somalia that only exists on paper but my country Somaliland should be ready to help our brotherly ally the UAE at any time
