Sahal, our side would like an election NOW; right this MINUTE. YOU wanted to RUN THE CLOCK.

If this isn't a comedy show at this point, I don't know what it is. :ducktales:

Otherwise this is just split personality disorder ➡️ https://www.somalinet.com/forums/viewto ... 662b652a31
  1. Sahal's latest topic is literally "Xalane wants this election before Ramadan so yeah Haha @ Mooge the loser, you have to do the election"
  2. My reaction = :comeon:
  3. We are the ones who abided by September Agreement. We are then ones who named our Election Committee. We are the ones who called you to name your Election Committee. We are the ones who announced we were starting Election process.
  4. You only supported one thing; get to Feb 8 without an election and Mooge is removed from Villa Somalia with the Speaker as Caretaker President.
  5. You lost; in everything
  6. Furthermore, Ramadan is 60 days away as you said, which means the technical extension will be at least 3 months long starting Feb 8th as was planned
At this point, the obstruction from the Opposition is such a colossal failure, if I was Farmaajo I would be sending personal, handwritten Thank You notes to each one of them for the strength of the optics displayed by his lounging in Villa Somalia on Feb 8.

The image of Farmaajo looking at the date "Feb 8" from Villa Somalia is iconic and historical. They will talk about it a 100 years from now.

And they got nothing out of it----except to come around and now even argue for Farmaajo's position. 😆

Voltage, my brief discussion with Sahal came to a respectful conclusion. I've asked Sahal what was the reason he was Anti-Farmaajo (and he has every right to be). At first, he refused to provide reason that he differ with Farmaajo. Sahal's last response to me was that his motives were exclusively "qabiil driven" as it put it. That was an honest response and I appreciated his honesty.

Now, I'd like to know why YOU support Farmaajo. What political objectives made you want to support President Farmaajo? After four years, do you see yourself as satisfied with Farmaajo or disappointed?

Wadaniga,

This isn't about motives, this is tactics. I have already identified Sahal's motive as nothing past an inch beyond the undemocratic, nepotistic, and really unstable "Gentlemen's Agreement" that was never affirmed by Farmajo Gov and which ended up dispensing with it. Hawiye/Darod/Xamar/Wadaniyad, etc and all the random key terms he talks about are White noise and mere distractions. This topic doesn't care about his motive; it identifies the failure of their tactics.

Also, I think it is rare that a supporter of a President ends up becoming an even bigger supporter as time progresses---but that's exactly where I am at.

Farmaajo has been 100X better than I assumed. He turned out UNBELIEVABLY more decisive, more courageous, displayed more strength, more willpower, etc. I mean it is incredible to see how I lukewarm I was as a political supporter and how vigorous my support towards him now and it is all based on merit.

Actually belief it or not. Majority of the Marehan members here such as Voltage, Murax, Grandpa etc were hardly a Farmaajo supporter during the time Farmaajo was Prime Minister and after he became a president. They used to actually Diss him, and I was the only staunch Farmaajo supporter amongst the Marehan's here. I even remember a old former Advo (another Marehan) who made a funny sketch about me. I supported Farmaajo back then because of how he fought against Al Shabaab as I was a vivid anti Al shabaab due to personal reason and I am still a anti Al shabaabist. We are Somalis too, and if our clansman does something good for the nation we can support him without being labelled clannist. It is not our fault that we create natural born leaders that have self dignity and patriotism in our blood. It's just Marehan culture. Why should we deny peace and prosperity for our country? I wish certain Somali clans/groups or people would look things in a bigger picture rather than local level, it just shows how little and selfish ambition they have. May Allah give them a high IQ ameen

Voltage, the plan from PL, JL, and opposition is that no election takes place. Keep delaying and then they want to throw Farmaajo out, because the country is more important than Farmaajo. So the tell the IC in order for the country to be saved, Farmaajo should give up being a president, and possibly give up being a presidential candidate. Otherwise, the IC will fully handle the election.
