He made some valid points. The only clan in Somaliland that claims to have been targeted for genocide is the Isaaq clan. All of the rest of the clans (Samaroon, Ciise, Daarod, Madhibaan, Fiqishini (Hawiye)) don't make that claim. Those other clans can simply say we were not harmed by Siyaad Barre's government, therefore what's the benefit for us to be part of Somaliland?

Who said anything about dilling. Somaliland reclamation of independence is about afweyne it was much earlier it started in 1961 with hassan kayd coup. By the way all these clans you mentioned are less then 15 percent of the population.
