Do I really need to explain this?
Keep in mind; I am not convinced "Qatar" is a great investor either.
I think Qatar became a lucky investor with Farmajo, just like UAE and Sahan were lucky investors at previous times.
But for GREAT investors at work; observe Turkey and even the US very, very carefully.
The Brits were slow to identify, but notice the Brits and now the Europeans smoothly coming into the bidding process and outbidding extravagantly for the remaining shareholder slots.
The US and Turkey are classic serious, mature, and agile investors who have a 20 year, 30 year, 50 year plan before any single investment.
It is not a coincidence that Turkey is now so strongly and poignantly upping the visibility of Gorgor and its military investments in Somalia----at this particular time, with Farmaajo display of power so stark.
The US choosing to intercept a half dozen or so RPGs with such publicity when they are aware of 30 years of Somalia arms embargo violations, sometimes with their tacit support----is not a coincidence at this particular time when Farmajo's legitimacy to exert security control is so stark.
Bill Gates said the history of business is it innovates or it dies
Bad investors invest MONEY in LABOR
Successful investors invest CAPITAL in TALENT
It is TALENT not LABOR that drives INNOVATION
Truth is Sahan/UAE are failures because they are bad investors; Money X Labor or Capital X Talent

What you do mean the Brits/EU are coming in? Expand on that for me a bit.

For starters Saddam, refer to audience vs constituency when it comes to the UK Ambassador presenting credentials at this time to Farmaajo.
1. The UK was not without representation; there wasn't an immediate vacuum that needed to be quickly filled.
2. They had an outgoing ambassador who was serving in all his capacity until the day of acceptance of credential of the new Ambassador.
3. The United Kingdom would never have presented credentials in a situation such as this with an engineered questions about Authority unless they had a specific national interest to contribute to the debate.
That interest behind that contribution is only answered by the result of the contribution; namely a public display of the UK Government's confidence in the authority of the President and in fact a public recognition of the strength of his position.
And this is right before the consultative conference---where engineered questions about authority were suspected to ve5 brought up.
This is called "leveraging."
How does one bring up random questions about Authority when the actual Legal and State legitimacy of Authority was confirmed right before the Conference.
This is what the Constituencies involved (Deni & Madoobe) are taking away.
The rest of the audience is left out there consuming themselves with trivialities like Twitter posts and other confirmation biases.
Also, who do you think encouraged Cirro to go to Garbahaarey---

Salient points ina adeer. It makes logical sense and it’s the diplomatic protocol which people aren’t familiar with due to their illiteracy. Also speaking of Cirro, do you know anything about this?Voltage wrote: Thu Mar 11, 2021 7:13 pm For starters Saddam, refer to audience vs constituency when it comes to the UK Ambassador presenting credentials at this time to Farmaajo.

Saddam, respectfully I will say I have nosy readers who like to read my inanities and are currently hostile to some of the issues I care about. I have decided not to speak about some of those issues with any specificity.
Gedo, since 1991, has single-handedly proven more than any other single region of former Somalia its disproportionate geostrategic value and importancr.
-2nd biggest region
-2 rivers,
-2 borders with 2 countries,
-2 foreign invasions,
-Defeated USC which became civil war stalemate
-5 urban centers, more than any other region outside of Benadir
-3 farming districts
-Most camels in Somalia by UNDP estmate and big in livestock overall
-3 trading gateways with neighboring countries
-1 trading corridor controlling land trade from Mogadishu, Baidoa, and Kismaayo to East Africa
-One of the largest Somali diaspora
-Disproportionate human resource and remittance resource
-The key to the south
Gedo Region has proven it's strength even conflict. It is time for Gedo to shine.

Matt Bryden has consistently been an anti stability agent and I wonder if he is a UAE asset I highly doubt his native country of Canada has such nefarious goals.
