Cagjar hasn't done anything for us. The reason is simple really. We were Abdi Illey allies and didn't support him coming to power.

1. The successes that were achieved were due to Marehan's 2010 cessation of historical hostilities established officially between Ethiopia led by Meles Zenewi nnd Marehan.

2. The successes specifically achieved by reer Hassan in Liban is directly resulting from reer Hassan sweat, tears, and actual blood.

Deeka was established as a woreda 6 years ago and Marehan/reer Hassan have had 5 MPs since then, plus all the Woreda offices and deputy district of Liban. You are a little late.

Abdi Iley era is over. We can negotiate a new agreement with Cagjar. Also, I’m the Ugaas of Jubboyinka. I’ll let Sbashi speak for the Sultan of Ethiopia as that is his domain. Gubbet, a cessation of hostilities with the federal government doesn't get you a district. The kilil president gets you one. We asked Abdi Iley to get us a district. And it was Abdi Iley who walked for days in our deegans to see where we lived exactly and where our livestock grazed.

Next, we don't particularly love abdi iley but at least we worked with his administration. Even before the district was made, which btw helped us get the district. Cagjar has totally ignored us. For working with Abdi Iley. He also failed to get marehan the districts they deserved in qoraxey/dollo. Abdi Iley wasn't good for marehan interests. But Cagjar isn't any better and might even be worse. Cagjar did nothing. Today there is fighting in Shilaabo where the same Liyuu Polis who used to kill mx during abdi iley are now doing the same. Nothing has changed.

Wagardhac liking Abdi Iley is another achievement added to him. It means he did something where he could. During his fight with ONLF i'm sure Iley tried to appease makahil by granting them districts at the expense of mx. Now that ONLF is no longer in the bushes why isn't cagjar reversing that?

Trust me, what I said had no bearing on Cagjar.

At this point, I even hear Marehan saying Cagjar is hostile to Marehan---literally "hostile" to Marehan---something I never heard them say about Cabdi Iley.

Cabdi Iley was not hostile to Marehan, but Cabdi Iley was not fair to them either.

Cabdi Iley was "transactional" with Marehan.

He picked and choosed what was overlapping with his own particular interests.

Also Sbashi, I absolutely defer to you on explaining the process Deka went through, but again, I assure you TPLF Ethiopia under Meles Zenewi had complete oversight and authority, and facilitation over this issue starting from when Hara Marehan settlement.was turned into the Kabele (qabala) of Deeka before being upgraded go Woreda

Also Deka is woreda bordering two ethnic states (Somali and Oromo) and it is also the closest Somali region territory to.Nageyle, Ethiopia's most important south eastern city.

You cannot underestimate the security and political sensitivities involved administratively that probably disproportionately brought in the visibility of the two Ethnic state leaders (Iley and Magersa).

What I am saying is Cabdi Ilay was not considered to be "hostile" to Marehan---as Cagjar is allegedly---but Ilaay wasn't fair either. He was transactional.
