BREAKING: Somali Comm of Ohio 2 explore "legal" options vs. Sahan/Bryden/Rashid, etc role "climate of persecution" in K

This is huge. LIterally just reached my ears.

Just got word that the Somali Community of Columbus, Ohio and in particular the Marehan community have reached the decision to "explore" US legal options against 1 entity and at least half a dozen individuals for helping "create" and "contribute" to a culture or climate of persecution specifically in Kenya (I don't know if Nairobi specifically) in the last "8 months or so" for electoral political reasons designed to affect the issues and outcome of "Somalia's bitterly divided election."

They want to explore as two DIFFERENT groups.

1. As the Somali community of Columbus,Ohio
2. As the Marehan Somali Community of Columbus, Ohio who disparate impact and specifically targeted group within Somalis

The murdered businessman Bashir Gaboobe was from the Somali Community of Columbus, Ohio. He was also a Marehan.

FYI: The Columbus, Ohio Somali comm is the 2nd largest in the US following MN and it is predominantly Marehan.

They feel there is nothing coincidental about the murdered victim being Marehan AND the victim.

Based on high profile political connection, lobbying, and networks through things like having worked for Crisis Group and Monitoring Report, and political and diplomatic relationships, the Columbus Community feels the potential defendents HIGH PROFILE social media and outspoken alleged "attacks" on them heavily influenced what happened and the culture of persecution being felt.

Apparently, these guys even directly at times (you can't makr this up) brought into question the free movement, expression, and ability to live AND/OR do business in Kenya. Literally on their twitter handle among other things apparently

As soon as the organization/law firm, etc is decided on they want to explore TO WHAT EXTENT, IF ANY OR HOW MUCH IF SO, THEY ARE LIABLE FOR THE IMPACT OF THEIR DISPROPORTIONATE INFLUENCE AND TARGETING OF THEM AS THOSE TWO GROUPS AND WHAT LIABILITY CAN EXIST INFORMING THAT A REPRESENTATIVE OF BOTH GROUPS FROM THAT LOCATION WAS BRUTALLY JUST MURDERED IN A VERY PUBLIC AND POLITICALLY CHARGED CIRCUMSTANCE IN KENYA.

This is just developing guys---HUGE![/color].

Oh and they are going to insist and lobby State Department and the NSA----through their legal counsel, political representatives and human rights advocacy groups---that the US government do a full and comprehensive, credible and completely independent investigation for the murdered businessman, a US citizen from the Marehan Somali Community of Columbus, Ohio

To me honestly, this reflects how personally aggrieved one of Sahan's effectuations has been recently for Somalis entirely dependent on one's membership to a particular social group.

If you are in the affairs of the country most wrecked by civil war and the effect of even a minor aspect of your contribution is dependent on social group membership (read: "faction")----then every aspect of your mission statement is a bust by then.

It is a bust.

There should have been a timeout and a course correction a long time ago. It speaks to a fundamental and existential process breakdown.

It is not even about changing your objectives or outcomes; it is about achieving them.

Yet insteadnof exhibiting personal and even professional maturity and sound judgement, they doubled down in ways that I literally thought was improbably defensive and even shortsighted, dare I even say at times incredulously juvenile.

If they want my advice, I would say be contrite and express humility.

Apologize.

Not take responsibility for anything you don't feel responsible for, but embrace the humility to acknowledge that you have imparted an effectuation or have been received in a way or form that was not representative of your intentions or objectives.

And that this was received as a collective impression.

And for that you are sincerely apologrtic and will use it to inform how you communicate going forward so you represent only that which you intend.

You have no idea the power of sincere humility and contriteness to change even the hardest and closed off hearts there are.

That's my advice.
