In a way I think it sort of represents young Somalis identity crisis... they are weird or different among Black Africans, among Middle Eastern or Muins, they stand out among Christian Europe and its all visible the black skin, the features, the clothing.
It's all in your face difference.
For your younger membersbor don't understand the complexity of our genetic and biological-geographic-socialogicl history, that question represents how confusing they are in the world as informed to them
I would tell her to start with out of africa theory and back migration plus research E3B or E1b1b1

That makes sense dhulbahante have good looking people.. With in the darood the dhulbahante and ogaden are among the lightest skin.

Northern MJ are lightskin, so are those of Wardheer/Kismayo, the darker ones are those in Mudug, this is all down to location and who is mixing with who. Ogaden have mixed with habesha/Oromo populations who have higher Arab blood, so have Marexaan in Ethiopia, every region besides Mudug is a mixed bag, if you see a lightskin somali then they incorporated ajanabi blood from a adjacent area into their gene pool.
The average Isaaq is not lighskin, and the vast majority of Somalis look the same (mariin colour), these are the people I'm arguing with?

Not true the vast majority of mj is brown to dark brown about 85 percent I have been to boosaaso and garowe u rarely see a light skin people.
Ogaden over 60 percent is brown to very light brown
Marexaan I don't know I have not seen so. Many marexaan or been to their cities
The average is isaaq is pretty light brown also around 65 percent especially the Ciidagale have allot of light skin. All u have to do is visit their part of hargeisa.
Burco it self has a allot of light brown people surely there are allot of dark skin folks. But also allot of light more then and other somalis.
Same as dhulbahante around 40 percent is light brown.
Hawiye are alps brown to dark to the exception of xawaadle who are very light skin

It was all right I was there for bussines for a week and a few days.. Garowe had nice city planning boosaaso was a bit to hot but it had nice buildings.
