Most kenyans live in their farms and rear their animals and are better of than your folks in Gedo who live in abject poverty and day in day out famine.

Sprawling slams in cities dont mean any thing.But most of them have land and homes in there up country due to generational wealth.
Somali small scale and middle scale businesses targwt kenyan non somali market.If they kenyans had no purchasing power then somalis would not make a fortune in kenya.

The only difference is the lifestyle and way of life.
While an ordinary kenyan who can afford 10 suvs would rather have non but drive a beaten up old pick up or salon car a somali on the other hand would spend 10% of his savings to by an SUV and rent out in afluent arreas and try to maintain an affluent lifestyle like African American pop artists do.
