So I have been scanning through all kinds of ad hoc defense and scientific reports on rocket launching, space, earth's eastward rotation + orbit, difference added by latitude, the equator, even place for falling debris...
and according to my short, non-scientific quick run through the reports Somalia is #1 prime candidate purely on the geography, geology, AND location. It was mentioned 100% of every listing.
Apparently Italy has also been quietly lobbying the EU to become serious about wanting to stabilize Somalia enough to base tge EU main launch site there even before the Turk interest.
So basically this is why Somalia is becoming more important; space launch before was high government investment by the richest countries and launches were almost generationally. A novelty basically with a huge splurge 1X in a while.
But as space travel picks up, with more routine and diverse interests, even initiators and not just NASA given unlimited checkbook by US Defense---SPACE LAUNCH HAS TO BE MADE COST-EFFECTIVE.
The price difference in fuel, force, energy, and material, and technology for launch, then stabilizing, is staggering just based on latitudinal difference in where launches happen
Taking it all into consideration, Somalia is literally #1 place in the entire world to base a launch site that will be the most cost effective if you controlled for everything else and just did location vs location comparison.
The more.space.picks up the more.important Somalia will become.
This thing with Somalia and geolocation for space launching is BIGGER THAN WE THINK. MUCH MUCH BIGGER.

Somalia can become a space tourist greatest destination with Elon Musks and Jeff Bozos both planning space trips.
