Bah Ogaden elders endorse Abdi Ciise Qooleey as MP
Bah Ogaden consist of Rer Xirsi , Rer Maxamuud Gulled , Rer Dalal and their Bah Wadaag Sharmaake Rooble Ugaas. The Waax also includes Habar Ciise, Fiqi Yacquub and Howrarsame.
All 3 sons of Ugaas Diini(Bah Ogaden) have held federal seats, in a wareegto formula, right now the MP is Rer Maxamuud Gulled and the Senator Rer Dalal, prior it was Rer Xirsi.
Bah Ogaden elders endorsing Sharmaake Rooble aka candidate Abdi Ciise qooley is a continuation of good practice, something other MX have to adopt.

Wallahi how does reer dini have so many kids with their abtirsi my god man we have ancient clans which they have higher population than
Re: Bah Ogaden elders endorse Abdi Ciise Qooleey as MP
Bah Hawaadle only Rer Ugaas Sharmaake and Rer Siyaad have permanent seats. 2 before and now 3.
Bah Hawiyo only Rer Koshin have permanent seats 1
Bah Ogaden all Bah Ogaden have held federal seats, 1 before and now 2.
The Wagardhac are also good at wareegto so it isn't just Bah Ogaden, Celi and Rer Siyaad Hussein struggle with it but they meet the requirements.
I don't know so much about the history of Rer Gedo federal representative apart from the Rer Diini, but the 7 other seats I'd imagine its monopolized by the same juffo and even the same person. I need to do a case study on MX riman representation, already Bah Hawaadle gets an F.
The importants of wareegto is it unifies Beesha Sade, everyone is included, right now you won't be able to tell the difference between Rer Xirsi, Maxamuud Gulled and Rer Dalal, because we have good practice and no monopoly, so its practically one juffo.
Its not just federal reps you need to have good partnership locally as well, Rer Dalal and Rer Siyaad Hussein are also one and the same in the local level, and Celi and Wagardhac are also joining the gang.
To me I understand the previous division in MX Jubaland, because there is zero accountability in Dhaqan level, there is zero grassroot organisations and even zero proper activist, now its started to change, these organs have been build in the last 2 years, and thats why Gedo is united, I just hope it is reflected in federal representation, I want to see same corrective measures as I saw on local level, DCs, Kuxigees, Governor etc.
Look at how Rer Warsame speaking to Bah Hawaadle, this is the result of monopoly

Re: Bah Ogaden elders endorse Abdi Ciise Qooleey as MP
This is one of my blind spots. I’m assuming it’s the federal senate seats is my first reaction. Fartaag is squatting on the seat which be wareegto to Reer Garaad. Also, Ina Amir Nur have no matalada in Garbaharey as well and no seat in JL which they expressed their disatisfaction several weeks or a month I forgot. There’s other ones I’m forgetting as well. Most importantly there’s no representation for Ceelcadde or Buurdhubo for Reer Garaad or Reer Yusuf in JL as well. Geedweyne should also be a degaan as well. It’s growth is stunning. The reason I’m so pro Reer Garaad is because they are the matriarch of my sub of Reer Yusuf, the same line as Ugaas Yarow. I think Gubbet knows the oral history.NGM wrote: Fri Jul 30, 2021 6:07 pmBah Hawaadle only Rer Ugaas Sharmaake and Rer Siyaad have permanent seats. 2 before and now 3.

It is federal seats, seperate fedearl and local, I keep saying it to you guys no one is picking up on it.
Imagine Rer Garad a huge chunk of MX inside and outside of Somalia are completely without representation, I genuinely hope the deputy health minister gets MP seat, this is unacceptable.
I am glad you understand my view on restructure, dadkoo dhan ma wada qancin kartid currently and perhaps never, but there needs to be serious changes that at least works towards that and thats where wareegto and political maturity comes in.
Farmaajo has alot of advisors from Jubaland, so he will not oppose restructure which is majority view and Beesha interest, but he won't push for it either, it has be people themselves who push for it, its not even my role, its the role of Ugaas Xaashi and he has surely failed in this matter.

Re: Bah Ogaden elders endorse Abdi Ciise Qooleey as MP
NGM, I am going to speak as Marehan and then I am going to speak as Habar Ciise, my reer abti, since you spoke as bah-Ogaden and as Marehan separately.
And really also this represents the complexity of what is before us.
As Habar Ciise-
I don't see any fundamental change. There is no bah-Ogadeen dhalad, bah-Ogaadeen bah-Wadaag, and bah-Ogaadeen waax.
There is bah-Ogaadeen Diini and bah-Ogaadeen waax the political constituency.
If the MP goes from one bah-Ogaadeen Diini to another bah-Ogaadeen Diini and the Senator is bah-Ogaadeen Diiniz it is still bah-Ogaadeen Diini having both the MP and the Senator.
As Marehan
This development once again shows that bah-Ogaadeen of the reer Diini are more progressive and closer to cadaalad than their brothers.
Bah-Xawaadle in particular seems to be egregiously the most unfair, anti-egalitarian, and completely intolerable with the existence of Fartaag and the Senate kidnapping.
In my opinion, one of the bah-Xawaadle MP seats is forfeit and that is the reer Ugaas Shermaarke MP seat. There cannot be a reer Ugaas Shermaarke MP NOW THAT FARTAAG IS ONCE AGAIN THE SENATOR. THERE CANNOT BE.

NGM,
You’re you can’t satisfy everyone but you can make incremental but significant changes that bring stability which leads to economic growth for everybody involved. I want modernization of Somalia i.e. Meji restoration which incorporated the great things of the west while retaining cultural cohesion. How can we preach progress and equality when our house isn’t in order. Your waax isn’t perfect but a direction in the right way. Also, I believe Ugaas Hashi failure isn’t him per say but moreso his advisors giving advice that isn’t conducive to the moment. As a Reer Hassan, I personally don’t want my sub leading beesha nationally. That isn’t our role in the family. For Marehan and for the stability of Reer Diini head as the overall leader of Beesha, Bah Xawaadle need to understand the moment we’re in. And as our traditional head, I have full confidence they do. Everybody has to tanasul for danta guud ee Sade eventually, so business isn’t affected. I want economic prosperity for Gedo and JL in general and that comes thru political unity based on compromise, rule of law, equality in opportunities and meritocracy not boob and cadaalad daro.
Gubbet,
Ximan and JL are different entities for Sade. I’m happy you are calling out NGM blind spot, we all need to realistic and accountable. We need to be fair to all and in agreement that the current order isn’t conducive to the overall bottom line. We need a commission meeting, a real XEER IN:

MX is one political unit on the national level competing with dozens of political units who are all rivals and are in blocks, 4.5 system, as NGM we have zero tolerance for division on the national level, infact we want to not only move ahead as one political unit that is MX but further our interest through balancing Isirwadaag with Oodwadag alliances on the national level using our geographic reality as an advantage not a disadvantage. Post Roadmap era is a thorny fruit tree if you want to be cut by the thorn remain stagnant if you want to get the fruit evolve and create your own roadmap.
This comes natural to me like breathing and blinking, infact having to explain it is painfully redundant, but I understand others not feeling it, why because insular tendencies fueled by juffojufaysi and lacking in understanding of present and future reality of federalism can cause that.
hence why I seperate local and national representation, arguments, and generally politics. I always tell you this, You are the don of JL affairs, I don't say this because I promote difference, I say this because I make distinction between national level and local level. This remedy is not perfect, the two planes do clash and do interact, and sometimes we need them to while at times we don't.

How does the average person benefit from someone in their clan holding an MP seat? Particularly when those MPs are as useless as they come? I keep seeing odayaal making noise whenever their clan loses a seat. It doesn't make sense to me. Shaah ayaa loo iibiyaa miyaa. Misa shaxaad ayay helaan?

This is the pragmatism our generation needs without hurting the existing order but only building on it. Very salient points my friend. Bravo to you!NGM wrote: Sat Jul 31, 2021 3:31 pm RoM

Re: Bah Ogaden elders endorse Abdi Ciise Qooleey as MP
NGM & Gubbet,
I have thought about this some more. And for real progressive change. These are the points I see as regressive. This is in my opinion is the only way to save Sade and set a progressive example to the rest of the Somali people. I’ll start with our political Xeer which was imposed on us unilaterally and here are the results:
14 MPs
6 Diini
3 Hassan
1 Talxe
1 Wargadhac
1 Hawrarsame
2 Raadamir
3 Senate
2 Diini
1 Radamir
With half the reps going to 1 jiffo. Objectively without feelings or jiffo jufaysi but the BOTTTOM LINE. This doesn’t foster Sade unity but resentment, potential coups, treachery, etc. We are in extraordinary times and our midnimo is muqadas. A lot of clans not just Sade aren’t satisfied with Arta and it won’t lead to permanent peace. Clans with with little to no deegmos are unfairly compensated. Here's why I think the old system won't remain in state:
Somalia today in not the Somalia of pre 91
1. There's a demographics shift. 70% of the population is under 30
2. It's the age of the internet people are not blind to what's going on in the world and what's around them
3. More people than ever are becoming educated, we are not the same ignorant Jahiils with a small educated elite
4. The country is transitioning from Nomadism and Urbanizing.
Somalia is ripe for change but the change needs to be fair and managed. I’m not crazy but we need is fair constitution that doesn’t leave anybody out. I might be wrong or right. But I see the problem. Cosmetics isn’t working anymore, workhorse or show horse. REAL STRUCTURAL CHANGE is needed. I’ll finish with this one from the one of the architects of the Meji Restoration, Shimazu Nariakira who famously said this to changing winds of the modernizing of Japan:
”if we take the initiative, we can dominate; if we do not, we will be dominated"
Modernity requires rational thinking and design not just reactionary impulse. That impluse is only for war time only. In times of peace, subtlety is needed.

6 Diini is wrong Saddam.
There are 4 Diini MPs.
2 from Mudug (Bah Ogaden/bah Darandoole each 1)
2 from Gedo (rer Siyaad/rer Ugaas S)

you just made small typo Rer Diini is 4, Radamiir is 4 and Rer Hassan is 2, Urmidig is 1, the rest is correct.
this needs to change and there needs to be wareegto installed, no more monopoly, and no more lack of accountability.

Gubbet & NGM,
I stand corrected. But you guys get the point. Knowing us and other Somalis this won’t happen. The status quo benefits a lot of people.
