Let's remember last December when all these Jubbaland clans started expressing their alarm and rejection of voting under duress and fear in Ahmed Madoobe's Kismaayo...what Shermarke say then? Only now when he lost hope of getting supporters in Senate is he talking?

Shortly after, Cawlayahan decided to request their election location be moved to Garbahaarey in Gedo instead of Kismaayo in a public clan meeting.
    • Here Ugaas Qorane gives a 20 minute public address announcing their clan decision. Among the reasons for wanting to be moved to Garbahaarey, the Ugas cites electoral indepedence, integrity, security, rule of law, and freedom from compulsion and duress.

He basically said there is Tyranny in Kismaayo under Ahmed Madoobe and Liberty in Garbahaarey under the Gedo Regional Admin named by the Federal Government.
Here is Hamza Sheikh, the sitting MP of Cawlyahan/Ogaden and one of the most powerful female politicians in the country. She is also someone who was favorable to Madoobe in the begining, before becoming disillusioned by his naked turn to warlordism and petty gangsterism.
        • At 3:11, concurring with the traditional leader of her clan in requesting their location change to Garbaharey, she quite literally uses the word "safe /safety" to make her choice implying being pushed to vote in Kismaayo under Madoobe carries an " existential threat" to life, liberty, or both.
Similary in the same video after her, other leaders of some of the biggest clans/communities in Jubbaland speak similarly announcing their request to be moved to Garbaharey instead of Kismaayo as a location to exercise their MP vote.
            • Among the leaders are the Sultan of Biyamaal and the Ugaas of Gardheere Samaale.

Incidentally, Biyamaal is the strongest Dir clan in Jubbaland while Gardheere Samaale is the strongest Hawiye clan in the state.

At 6:03 they are all asking to be to be moved to Garbaharey for the same reasons as above.

Where was Mr. Shermarke then when I penned these alarmed words cognizant of the danger ahead? Where was he? If he couldn't see it, he doesn't deserve to be running for a public role and if he ignored it, he deserves it even less.

In my estimation, with the gravity surrounding the concerns and fears communicated by these civil society representatives------- there should be 0 "compromise" on this matter.

                1. What has been expressed is conscientious dissent
                2. There should be ZERO compulsion on this matter
                3. Especially for reasons of political expediency
                4. Otherwise there is culpability and negligence.
Moreover, there should be ZERO CONFUSION about the ethical and moral liabilities involved.

Carrying out the franchise should be empowering----not dehumanizing; being forced to weigh the cost of personal sacrifice.

This is beyond politics; beyond the petty, reductionist factionalism kind Madoobe understands.

                This is about Human Rights.

Hamza sheikh the fat lady she neither represents Ogaden interest and only got the seat through the female quota status which was a mistake. Also sharmarke he was a senator for 4 years but not once has he ever sat down for Aqalka hoose meetings in the parliament where he was he all these years except being active on social media and outside the country?

Also Gubbet stop using Cawlyahan name to support your weak agenda. Only then would we allow our seats to be moved to Garbahareey when Baardheere is liberated from the Ethiopian crusaders

I couldn’t give a fuck I would spit on her. Every person in my clan will be held accountable. If you are entrusted with the seat of the clan and side with the enemy for 4 years you deserve to be executed. Being removed peacefully is being too fair in my eyes.

Females and politics don’t go together it’s also stated in the Hadith. Curse be upon those who want to bring feministic ideologies into Somalia.

Farmajo started this with his Gareen politics. Deni is taking a page out of his book by making sure loyal people are elected to represent PL. Deni has the support of the people.

correction, your uncle madoobe started this and hawiye and MJ all celebrated it in 2019. today madoobe is the teacher and deni, qoor qoor, guudlaawe are his students. the principle rooble is a weakling and will go down as the most inept, most weak and most clueless PM to have ever served somalia. he will be known as the Prime minister that held the most corrupt "election" in somali history.

Deni will go down as the man who destroyed puntland. and we are witnessing the end of puntland.

In politics there are always winners and losers. The game has changed but corruption is still part of Somali politics. When Sharmarke won as PM, he didn’t do it by 1p1v. For him to complain now because he lost is sad on his part. The same thing is happening on the Hutu side, new guard is taking over old guard who are still playing by an old book.

Anyways these are two cousins having disagreements. PL is bigger than an individual. Deni will leave in a few years, but he has created a great political institution.

I’m tired of you failmajo supporters and your hypocrisy. If failmajo was capable of ruling the country by force he wouldn’t hesitate. Madobe is the king of JL and there is nothing you can do about it.
