Which clans are underrepresented and overrepresented in the current federal system

Post by MrSinister »

Based on population in Somalia, which clans are over represented and underrepresented

Overrepresented

Cisse- how the hell did they get 8 seats in the lower house.

Majerteen- although historically MJ have always been politically over represented due to producing Somalia’s best politicians and intellectuals. I still think 6 upper house seats is a bit much.

Underrepresented

Bantu- much bigger in numbers than the skinny’s. Beesha 0.5 should be upgraded to 1.

Marexaan- they only have three senate seats. Granted they had the presidency and the senate seats are based on regions. It seems they are slight under represented mostly due to poor political leadership on their part.

Ogaden under represented. How does Marehan have more seats than us in 4.5 big scam. I want my people to disregard Somalia & Nationalism all together and work for their own interests. Jubaland state is only the tip of the iceberg. Bakool sare and proper representation comes next.

4.5 is awood qeybsi so of course mx got under represented, we had guns and manpower that defeated the combination of spm, ssdf, usc etc the numbers are skewed against us because u guys didn't want another 21 years serfdom.

I don't believe in awood qeybsi or even representation based on clan census, I don't want MX to just get more seats because of numbers or guns.

I want representation based on taxation, in JL we bring in the money, the trade in Kismaayo, the Dawa economic zone Dollow-Beledxawao as well as the Bardheere-Mogadishu corridor.

Caabudwaaq is the largest trading hub in central Somalia.

if we don't get our representation justly due to us, we will invest in cannons and start murking niggas and capturing kacaan build infrastructure, we can play war games for another century with the zoomalis.

OG will be a force in the future in Somalia. They have the most valuable state in terms of resources and have political connections to Kenya and Ethiopia. When you have a state of your own, you control your destiny and 4.5 is not as important.

ogaden is underrepresented.

dhooblay and qoqani should be districts on their own and not fall under afmadow and therefore should have their own MPS for a total of 14 mps.

I thought it was three senate seats (2 JL and 1 GM). To be honest, I agree most of the big clans are represented well relatively speaking.

It’s Cisse that’s way overrepresented and so called minorities clans that are way underrepresented.

That will be taken care of soon. Also Kulbiyow, and Diif should also be districts. At the moment right now the districts are Kismayo,Afmadow,Jamaame,Xagar, badhaadhe,Jilib,Bu’aale,
Saakow,Salagle and Baardheere.

yeah. look at gedo, which is the same size or even smaller than lower juba and they carved it up to 7 districts. I understand marehan make use of their presidents but we gotta come up with something. we can't let dhoblay and qoqani which are bigger than most gedo districts not be a district.

Gedo was carved out of Upper Juba by afweyne and he resettled his refugee clan from Galgadud there in the 80s. Garbahareey at the time was settled by Gabaweyne and Garres he replaced them with Reer diini. Luuq and Doolow same thing. Baardheere was the final loot which he displaced OGS till this day his clan is an enemy and will always be.
