right now, the federal government has stepped in as usual. Both Amharas and tigrays are supporting the afars in this war.

it's up to the Somalis to wake up and support the Sitt Somalis who are under attack by savage afars. I think Djibouti needs to play a role.

The Amhara are too busy fighting the TPLF occupation of their land, I doubt they are worried about the afar-somali war. But perhaps the amhara's in the national army maybe backing the afar, only to see two muslim groups fight each other. I saw recently they were sending christian delegates to preach their religion in that same area [afar/somali areas], so what's the plan? We'll see.

I wonder why they are doing this, the Habesha elites always have ulterior motives. Somali region sent troops just like afar and oromo regional police did; and why would somali's, of all people, who are the furthest from tigray, back the tplf/tdf?!
There's some other agenda here, for sure. They do not care for somali's, afars & Oromos, BUT! They may see afar's are ''more ethiopian'' than somalis whom they see as potential ''secessionists,'' the same way they hate the OLF/OLA and are in Oromia with their amhara militias and other militias fighting them.

@waachis, Somalis were never accepted by Ethiopian elites, not now, not in the past. To this day, Somalis are the only ethnic group whose majority of people do not speak Amharic. They both fear us and hate us, despite whether we're fighting with them or not. Amharas and tigrays are our enemies. Both afars and oromos are also disliked, but to a lesser degree, and at time they are allowed to be "Ethiopian".

Ethiopia is going to crumble one way or another because tigrays and Amharas will never trust each other enough to accept the other to lead the country. personally, I am praying for that, we need to go our separate ways.

These ppl have been slaughtering eachother well before ethiopia even existed, this is just a continuation of those centuries long conflict over land.

The Somali-Afar issue, can be solved, if both peoples just jointly administered the disputed lands. Make Afar and Somali the official languages, and share the power there. It's the same proposal I had for the disputed lands between Oromia and Somali's.

To comment on your second statement, keep in mind that, Oromo's do not have a religion problem. In the past, our problems were more or less, based on regions, as in, some regions submitted peacefully and were spared the destruction of the Abyssinian army, armed by France, Russia and others-and those regions who didn't submit, were destroyed due to being blocked from importing firearms, the same way Somali's were. This inevitably effects how some regions would view the Ethiopian state. The Oromo clans and/or regions who submitted and even held high positions in the Ethiopian State-like the Wallo/Wollo Oromo's, would of course view Ethiopia differently than an Arsi Oromo.

The Oromo issue is far more complex. To sum it up: Oromo's, being as big as they are, were conquered and were also...conquerors.
Now...Just look at the areas where Abiy sent Amhara Militias into Oromia- many of them, are areas where Christian Oromo's have a significant presence, and yet, the Amhara & Abiy still hate them and are waging war on them. It's not as simple as christians being allied, because the groups tend to be more loyal to their ethnicity than to anything else-just look at how the christian tigrayans are warring with christian amharas, while the christian oromo abiy sides with the amhara; it's about power, money, and ethnic ties.

Btw: The Oromo in general rejected Siad Barre's land claims, I should know, my father lived in Mogadishu during those days, and was an OLF commander. Had Siad Barre made a different deal, like, giving Oromo land autonomy within a larger, Cushitic federation, he may have been more successful. However, it's the past, we cannot change it, it was the Qadr of Allaah.
