General Jaamac Maxamed Qaalib our former interior minister During the Kacaan has died

The General was born into an Isaaq family in the Sanaaq region at the age of 13 he joined the SYL party that tried to liberate Somaliweyn from European Colonism, he was an army officer educated in the United Kingdom, during the civlians governments in the 1960s he was responsible for national security, on the evening of the 20 October 1969 he facilitated the Socialist revolution.

President Siyad Barre appointed him as the Interior minister of the Kacaan government during the 1970s

He was also appointed as chairman of the minister cabinet during the Kacaan and finally as the police chief of the Republic.

He died 3 days ago and was buried today.
