There is nothing illegal about it. Everyone knows when the speaker elections were happening, the gedo seats would be dependent on that outcome. NN lost the speaker and this is the consequence.
the date is longer than that. Farmaajo has lost the whole government a year ago and was reduced to being a warlord and this is what I have always said to those who say he ruled for 6 years.MrSinister wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 12:45 pmThere is nothing illegal about it. Yh its illegal because the speaker has no power to remove, legitimatize or elect mps. Mps elect the speaker and they can remove him also.MrSinister wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 12:45 pmThere is nothing illegal about it. No one can stop it now. the only way to get rid of ceelwaaq is if farmaajo wins. then he will do a mooshin on madoobe and kick out ceelwaaq.Jimbie wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 6:15 pmYh its illegal because the speaker has no power to remove, legitimatize or elect mps. Farmaajo was forced to deal with Ceelwaaq mps that why he is silent but do you think atleast his jufo from ceelwaaq mps will vote for him? Galwaaq claims 7 out of the mx 10 will vote for him. i think it depends on Farmaajo reaching out to them before the election day bc they have some fear that he will get rid of them "if he wins"Nomand wrote: Mon May 09, 2022 10:15 amNo one can stop it now. the only way to get rid of ceelwaaq is if farmaajo wins. then he will do a mooshin on madoobe and kick out ceelwaaq.Jimbie wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 6:15 pmYh its illegal because the speaker has no power to remove, legitimatize or elect mps. however long term i see people celebrating the ceelwaaq seats will be crying in the next election.in election 2026 all of the FMS will do the same as madoobe which is sign the agreement then do what you want.
guudlaawe will just hold it in jowhar. the next puntland president will just hold it in garowe, qoor qoor in cadaado.
Madoobe has always been the teacher and the lesson people learned in 2022 is that agreements and laws mean absolutely nothing.
our mps are free from Guudlaawe 100% he did not pick them like Deni picked his. Our mps were voted by their delegates. Hirshabelle were forced to open the competition and all pro Farmaajo lost. im well connected to our mps and they all agreed including Sanbaloolshe to vote for Abdi Nur except mp Abdirizaq omar he is a relative of Hassans Sheikh half hawadle brothers. even Sanbaloolshe and Abdi nur are making deals with other candidates in the second round not just UPD. Sanbaloolshe goes where money goes and Abdi Nur has money he said to him if you have money i will campaign for youNomand wrote: Mon May 09, 2022 10:54 am sahal,
i think some will vote for him, i don't know how many. however there are interesting things to look at ceel-qalow mps for example there is an uncle and niece in opposite sides then there is also a brother and sister also on opposite sides.
as for xawaadle. guudlaawe got xawaadle mps that are pro abgaal. however deni also got dhulabante mps that he thought where loyal to him but all of them left him. gedo mps are a mix batch as i said only MM/ carab you can garantuee would not vote for farmaajo the rest is up for debate.
so elections will be interesting. MP's will look after their own interest first.
next elections won't be 1p1v, FMS won't allow it even if they are forced to sign it by the international community they will delay the elections upto the point where anything is acceptable similar to what is happening today. thus they will all hold it in one city.
