The Dhulbahante have honorable history, among the best histories within the Darood family. But internal turmoil and subclan rivalries have all but completely destroyed the clan. Their elders don't have the interest of Beesha Darwiish at heart whatsoever.

The main reason Dhulbahante, and the majority of clans, are nowhere is that there are very few men of honour in leadership roles.

Many of the so-called traditional/ political leaders are khaat addicts, piss heads, thieves and whore mongers and are easily bought off.

Somalis need a new generation of leaders who can see the big picture and have a long-term national vision. Trying to pursue village politics in the national arena has failed miserably.
