Couple of things,Dhaanto in its origin was spread by cawlyahan & bahgeri in Ogadenia & bakool. The rest Of took what cawlyahan was doing giving it their own twist.I can not speak for the rest of the somali people but dhaanto and poetry are hallmarks of beesha absame fallowed by dhulbhante and garxajis.
Sahal,PM xamze is Ugaas kooshin not ree warfaa..they are siblings..reer warfaa/maalinguur and ugaas kooshin are three sons of ugaas xirsi ugaas khalaf

thanks for the info about Xamza. im talking about wiglada which is the origin not Dhaantada. we had af qoraxsin wiglo the gugundhabe dialect so that means Gaaljecel dhaanto is directly developed from wiglo and not a copy. listen the video i posted. at 5:00 and 9:00

Degodia, Hawadle iyo Cawrame oo hada dega moyaale waxay ka tageen bakool iyo qoraxsin Hiiraan waana dad OGaadeen la daris ah waxaa dhici karta in Wiglada ayaga ka qaadateen!

There are diferent styles in Ogadenia that are not found anywhere else. This is called Guuxa, favored by onlf.So its hard to bleive we got this from someone else if we are the only poeple that do it.You also seen dirgax. It would be fair to say we export Dhaanto and Gabay!

Dhaanto was invented by folks from Northern Mudug, specifically, gaalkacyo iyo surrounding tuulooyin.

It may be possible that the Cawlyahans in Bakool sare & Ceelbarde influenced the neighboring tribes. The Dhaanto may have found it’s way to Hiiraan from Qurac Joome border point

By the way this video was taken place between Shilaabo & Dhoobaweyn called Fardo Qalis

Here’s a wonderful Dhaanto made for the street kids of Mogadishu by my cousin Abwaan Abdi Baag, Aden Kheyr Reer Abdille royalty from Kismayo

 what?

Dhaanto is the most ogaden thing ever. It's exclusive to ogaden, it goes hand in hand with gabay and halgan, also synonymous with ogaden.

niggas really want nothing for OGs. all over online, we got people claiming ogaden lands, and now niggas wanna claim dhaanto too.

what's next? who knows.

To correct you, garxajis or any other isaaq don’t do dhaanto.

As for poetry, garxajis and all other isaaq come first - (garxajis then hj then Ha) and the dhulo/ogaden come after not the other way around.

Cheers

jandheer and dhaanto are two different things, it’s like comparing twerking (dhaanto) to the native new zelander dance mouri dance.

As for cagdheer poets, there is a reason the most famous darod poem in history is called doqonkii ogaden and composed by a dhulo.

Very interesting you guys are desperate for isaaq affirmation tho lol
