I just discovered jigjiga now also holds book fair in which locals can showcase their new books. Hargeisa as the cultural hub of the Somali people started off the trend this trend which is now followed by all major centres of the Somali people from Djibouti to jigjiga to Mogadishu to even garisa. Great to see positive things like this

I think the trend is the Americanization of the world's cultures.

Social media, movies, music and Western fashion dominates the world's young.
