Is it time for J/ Land to seek defacto independence?
We have all witnessed the disastrous policies of the HSM regime since taking office.
Regretfully I have begun to accept Somalia will never be a functioning, unified and sovereign country again.......at least during my lifetime.
That being said......is it now time for the regions to pursue defacto independence?
Obviously the international community will never recognise independent Somali states.......the iidoors can tell you that, but we can receive recognition as
" governed spaces".......as opposed to ungoverned spaces.
The UN can open political offices and foreign consulates can be established. These new UN administered territories will be totally independent from Mogadishu.

Not independence but independent federal state that’s on par with Puntland and Southwest. And that comes with concessions. Omertà

You are suggesting all somalis to be like somaliland, but most of them can't afford that kind of system. Either because of insecurity, lack of infrastructure or too much competition between locals.
To be an independent state , you must 100% rely on your resources and manpower , you must be able to bring law and order and provide service to every citizen. Madoobe failed this for the last 12 years. He barely manages kismayo with the support of KDF. Before jubaland gets into somewhere , one clan or a coalition of clans are needed to completely take control of the whole state. In other words halakala adkaado marka hore ama hala heshiiyo.
Dawladnimadu waxay Ku dhisan taa in lakala adkaado. Hadii layska barbar ciyo sidii raxan ey ah , waxba ma soconayan .

Ironically, right now JL is better placed to prosper and move forward under a hawiye president than it was the last 5 years, under darod president. So what exactly will JL run away from? To answer your questions, it's a no for me dawg!

More likely the anti HSM coalition in Somalia set up a parallel federal government headquartered in a newly proclaimed capital city eg Galkayo

You must be crazy to suggest Somalis will prosper under a HSM government. The hagites themselves will be the biggest losers under a hagite regime.
Obviously J/Land won't progress until MX and Ogaden reconcile. However, that's unlikely as Somalis believe in the zero sum game.....winner takes all mentality. Compromise, negotiation and concessions is an anathema to Somalis.
The status quo of foreign forces, famine, drought, poverty, disease etc will continue to plague Somalia for the foreseeable future.

Somethings are worth dying for. Other things however are more grey matter. You underestimate Somali kibir in regards to disrespect. It’s a new era of the mobile phone and the internet. Everything is in the openoriginal dervish wrote: Fri Nov 18, 2022 1:05 pm You must be crazy to suggest Somalis will prosper under a HSM government. The Somali mentality has been on full public display for over 30 years. .........this is not a transitory situation where things return to normal.......this is the new normal.
Until Somalis unite around common interests e.g food, security, health, education etc things will only go from bad to worse.

Always wondered why folks back home are never, nearly, as disposed to foster, among Skinnies, a spirit of brotherhood and harmony , as their qurbojoog counterparts like walaalaha SomNet here.
