Dhulbahante Hawdeed were to move with Marehan Galti to Jubba
The ergo from Dhullo was sent.
The agreement from Marehan was established.
The Xeer agreed to.
But the British stopped it, because they wanted to control/limit the immigration to British Jubbaland already seeing new Marehan and Ogaden migrant groups every day.
Ultimately a small band of Dhulbahante did succeed to join led by Sheikh Ali Nairobi and they settled in Dawa Region (Luuq, Dollow, Beled-Hawa).
Sheikh Ali Nairobi became the Qadi of Marehan of Luuq before being called to travel the wider new Somali area of Jubba and NFD.
Ultimately Nairobi's founding and the settlement by Somali domiciles by British Somaliland workers called him there to become the Qadi of Nairobi.
In that brief period of British Somaliland workers being moved between North and South led to the presumption of those groups immigrating heavily into the land like the Marehan/Ogaden so the Dhulbahante of Luuq moved with Sh Ali Nairobi to and joined small colonies of British Somaliland Dhullos.
Some even moved with Marehan north to found the Somali migration to Liban and Nagele. They were led by Abdi Hersi who was the right hand of Sh Hussein of Marehan who led the colonization of Liban and wars against Borana.
Today, Gedo would be equally implicating a "home base" of Dhulbahante just as much as Marehan if history had turned out differently.

The British wanted Dhulbahante to leave British Somaliland.
However, the attachment to our ancestral Nugaal Valley is in our dna......thousands of gabay have been composed.

OD, the British wanted to "stop" Somali emigration to British East Africa. (Kenya).
He couldn't control Marehan and Ogaden emigrating, but everything done to control the NFD including the establishment of "Dolo" at the junction of where the Jubba enters Somalia, the establishment of "Jubaland," and most importantly, the establishment of the Somali-Tana "Line" (the line at which no Somali settlement would be recognized) were all predicated on controlling Somalis moving in to Isiolo and touching the start of the central forest Highlands (Kikuyu, Emba, Mkampa).
Dhulbahante were British Somaliland subjects as recognized by the Brits.
Their entrance into Jubbaland as part of the Marehan Galti migration was an existential risk.
As recognized British subjects, they could not reflect the alien designation required to legally enforce the restrictions used against Marehan for instance.
Anyways all of this is fascinating and requires a much deeper perusal.

You spend far too much energy on the past.
I'm more concerned with the present and future.
Ethiopians are taking over Somali lands everyday.
Stopping and reversing this aggression should be every Somalis top priority.
Alas........Somalis are on the bs and are paralysed by hate for each other.

Both of your responses are passive aggressive attempts to negatively impact even my choice to write about this.original dervish wrote: Wed Dec 28, 2022 3:48 pm You spend far too much energy on the past.

You do that a lot regarding Dhulbahante and any mention of their historical and continuing connection and implication in all Marehan involved issues of Somali national importance.
Walaal, Dhulbahante were "MOD." Dhulbahante are today "CBB."
Stop acting resentful and like a jealous scorned heifer just because you have some connection to Dhulbahante and you hate Marehan.
Come to think of it, it is almost like Dhulbahante are really your "reer abti" and you are from a clan that has the inverse relationship with Marehan that he has with Dhulbahante, i e. not "warm."

Dhulbahante ma candho aad leedahay baa mar walbaad xinaaso sheeko iyagu iyo walaalahood qusaysa sow dhex galeeysid? Wagar!

Dhulbahante are somalilanders and they are linked to no one but Isaaq. Their stake of kismayo Will be more than doubled once we resolve our current issues. An entire Navy unit will be dedicated for their service. I encourage Od to Claims as much land as possible in kismayo. That enclave belongs to us

Yusuf, in Caabudwaaq wallahi one of the most surprising things I saw was "matromonial service" or arranging marriages from Buuhoodle to Caabudwaaq.
I am talking in an organized "matchmaking."
Reer Buuhoodle apparently do not want to marry anyone but Reet Caabudwaaq. Not all or even entirely obviously, but it is to such a degree that a system has developed with men "paid" usually already "seedi" or "suufi dervishes" between the two where they take list of newly marriageable Buuhoodle guys and finding or making contact with newly marriageable maidens in Caabudwaaq (or vice versa for Rer Caabudwaaq guys looking for Buuhoodle).
There is something that exists between Buuhoodle and Caabudwaaq that is blood-written.
It is not the fake "jacayl" or conditional "xiiso" and they aren't always cheesy, we have to fake smile all the time....it is somrthing like real brothers. You don't have to "show" him you love him or be sentiment, and sometimes you would think he is a fool or even get angry, but...waa walaal.
I have never been more surprised than that matrimonial service.

Dhulbahante is not linked to isaaq, they are darod and linked to their own tribe. Of course they are more closer to me than you , i only learned about your clan recently , I actually don't know you. The only thing that unites me and you is our goal. Which we are both determined , well atleast from my side . If we achieve our goal I Will always be their side. I am not the type of guy you expect to slaughter his neighbours. I would rather kill you if you try to harm them. You may ask why ? Well no matter what ever happens we Will always be Jaar , markaa maxaa godob luqunta ii sudhaya. So how did Dhullo give birth to my grandfather? My grandpa's mother was the daughter of Aw-Cabdi Aadan "Goroyo" the brother of Cali-Dhuux Aadan "Goroyo" (Dhullo/Ali Geri/Rer Samantar Gorod).mahoka wrote: Wed Dec 28, 2022 4:59 pm Dhulo and mx never even met before 1970 lol, question is how does mx expect loyalty from dhulo who isn’t even loyal to darod like mj and og who live next door to them and have blood ties

They don’t share borders and there is less conflict between MX and Dh. Also, they are the two large clans that have been screwed by federalism. So they have that in common.mahoka wrote: Wed Dec 28, 2022 4:59 pm Dhulo and mx never even met before 1970 lol, question is how does mx expect loyalty from dhulo who isn’t even loyal to darod like mj and og who live next door to them and have blood ties
Still, I never understood why they supported farmajo so much when he did nothing for them.
