The uprising in the city, for five consecutive days, reached its zenith today after Friday prayers. Observers estimate that there were over 100,000 people in the streets.
The uprising is being led primarily by the Lascaanood youth whom have mobilised the population using social media. Most of the casualties have been from the youth.
After Friday prayers the imams have implored the men of Lascaanood to take out their weapons and end the oppression of their people. Furthermore, all the Dhulbahante elders, Garaads , Ugas etc have instructed their clans to fight to the death.
There are unconfirmed reports that PL and K5 are also mobilising weapons, food, ammunition and manpower.
As most snetters know I was always opposed to sl project and sl rule in Lascaanood. However, I took a pragmatic approach for the sake of peace in the region.
Today the Dhulbahante masses and leadership have spoken with one voice.........SL must be ejected from the region whatever the cost. War has now become inevitable. It is times like this a man must stand with his people.
