Have led HSM to unlock the Gedo/Marehan file from the "Red" or "handle with prerogative" box & move it to the "Yellow" or "handle with discretion" box.

Yesterday, Mr. HSM invited Fartaag, the senior senator from Jubbaland, for an intensive 1-on-1 conversation with a phone participation by Buulle Gareed "Canjeex," the indomitable Governor of Gedo Region.



Both impressed upon Mr HSM;

1. Ahmed Madoobe's "Era" has ended. He sustains 0 legitimacy to the regional project of "Jubbaland" as far as the "people" of Jubbaland are concerned.
2. The present state of "Jubbaland" as nothing more than outside the private residence of Ahmed Madoobe is no longer tenable. A real Jubbaland with ownership by the "people" of Jubbaland is required henceforth.
3. Gedo Region until that eventuality is a region under the administration of Gedo Region as a final administering body in all areas of relations with the Federal Government. Nothing shall be appropriated through Ahmed Madoobe or any entity represented by him.

According to the release put out by all 3 sides; Mr. HSM's office, the office of Governor Canjeex, as well as that of Senator Fartaag; there has been unanimous agreement and understanding reached on all discussed points.

1. This is real "federalism." This is real "local" ownership of affairs. This is real "government of the people by the people."
   
   
2. "Federalism" is not a transplantation of the abuse and tyranny of a central autocrat for the abuse and tyranny of a provincial autocrat.
   
   
   • It is not exchanging "top down" for "center out," but actually manifesting "bottom up;" it starts with the local community exercising their aspirations for how they wish to be governed.
   
   
3. "Federalism" has been spoiled until this moment because it has been used as nothing more than a tool for "compulsion" against the people of Gedo Region.

Mr. HSM has declared he will soon visit Gedo Region to internalize the concerns and aspirations of the people of Gedo and Jubbaland in person.

Walahi this is a genuine question and not a piss take. Why is HSM interested in visiting Gedo and Hamza was reportedly bared from visiting? Also Mahad Salad wanted to vist. HSM also visited in first term. Why is this State different than other states. If you claim rivers, Beero, etc other states have it as well like Jubboyinka and Shabeelada. So what is so important?
