SSC & SL....TWO STATES LIVING SIDE BY SIDE IN PEACE.

Looking forward to an end to hostilities, I envisage a two state solution for SSC & SL.

Although eminity and bitterness are at an all time high between the iidoors and Dhulbahante, over time I believe things will return back to pre blue revolution era.

Iidoors and Dhulbahante have too much in common and share so much for there to be a permanent schism.
This is why talks should be established to pave the way for a two state solution.

The first step will be the mutual recognition of both SSC & SL within defined borders and territories. In some places territories may have to be swapped or left as enclaves, as exists between Oman &:UAE. Grazing lands should fall under Somali Xeer.

Customs/ Duty points should be coordinated in order to facilitate easy movement of goods and services, and the elimination of smuggling.

Extradition agreements must be exist between the rwo states so fugitives cannot escape justice.

A demilitarised zone must exist between the two states.
Furthermore, no military buildups or exercises within 50 miles of the border.

There cannot be any political interference in each others states. Sponsorship of opposition or rebel groups is to be prohibited.

Regularly meetings to occur between police chiefs, custom officials, govt officials, health/ environmental officials.

The dialogue should be in the spirit of good neighbourliness and brotherly love, and will act as a first step in rebuilding trust between the two fractured communities.

Finally an agreement to maintain the Northern alliance when dealing with the South in order to safeguard both states interests. SSC & SL will be two northern states, but when dealing with Mogadishu we will maintain the North South power sharing agreement.

I don't mind dhulbahante taking exit from somaliland, the problem is you have no system in place that we can deal with. Majeerteenia are using you taking advantage of your Anger. I don't mind dealing with majeerteen but they are avoiding it because you don't trust them. Kulli fidna cinda daarood. 1. Form a local authority that you all trust
2. Accept xabad joojin
3. Remove foreign forces in our land. Especially the dhabayaco
4. Meet our clan leaders for the border demarcation
5. Together we go to xamar and seek our recognition. Khaatumo and somaliland. We support you to get what you want. And you support us to take exit from Somalia . I can agree with a lot of your points.
However, we are not joined together at the hip.

It is purely your own perogative to pursue independece/ recognition from Somalia.

We are actively seeking to establish a Democratic SSC state of Somalia on the lands occupied by Dhulbahante.

It would be best for all parties if sl accept we are no longer part of sl.

The only thing I would consider is to keep the North south power sharing agreement alive when dealing with Mogadishu. This would benefit both SSC & SL.

SSC were OD? You are nothing, economically, or manpower. Infact you’re a liability. The only value you had was more idealistic. It was to keep the original borders of former British Somaliland. That still is our goal. We won’t let you go or give you some state. That’s like feeding a baby crocodile. No thank you. We will fight. No exchange but forced removal. The Hawks will take over Somaliland soon.
