This is tremendous news......very significant in the long run.

As the huge Darood clan divest and boycott sl, this newest of ports, Garacad, comes online.

The timing couldn't have been better. SSC region now has a viable alternative to Berbera.

Although the port is small it has a big future, as it aims to serve SSC region, K5, Pl and GM.
People should seriously consider investing in Garacad port, which is entirely privately owned, before its share price skyrocket

The nascent SSC state of Somalia will have tremendous opportunities. The new port at Garacad is much closer to Lascaanood than Berbera and will reduce the time and cost of imports.

Furthermore, we will be able to own stakes in the port, and establish warehouses, hotels and transport hubs.
As Lascaanood grows and expands so will Garacad port.

The nascent SSC state will have economic development as its top priority.

I can tell you all our business community have left Hargeisa, Burco, Berbera, Wajaale and are planning to return to Lascaanood.

A new economic network is emerging.....Garacad port- Galkayo- Wardheer- Buhoodle- Lascaanood- Garowe- Bosasso.

Not a single Darood goat will ever be exported through Berbera ever again. We are totally divesting from sl....economically and politically.

It doesn't work like that , who on earth can stop me to buy all the goats of Daarood and ship to where ever I want. You sell your stuff to who ever is paying more. That's true......but I doubt iidoor will receive our livestock in significant numbers.

The only issue is whether Bosasso and Garacad can absorb millions of livestock. I'm not sure they presently have the capacity.
