SL suffered heavy losses today....commander captured

Post by original dervish »

SL launched an ill fated attack from Goojacaade early this morning.

The SL offensive consisting of human wave attacks with supporting fire.

The SSC forces were able to repulse the sl militias, whom lost a number of tekniko and numerous dead militiamen.

A SL commander was captured and is being currently interrogated by SSC intelligence officers.
Medical treatment has also been provided to the injured POWs.

All captured commanders will not be included in any prisoner swap. Instead they will be put on trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity. If found guilty they will receive the death sentence Inshallah.

I would strongly advice against any capital punishment of POWS.

Anyone captured alive is a POW and should be accorded life until such a moment when detention is no longer necessary.

SSC by it's own identification is a social, none-state actor. Any such judgement to POWS will be seen as extrajudicial justice and a "war violation" itself.

I strongly warn against this idea

We will release the rank and file militiamen.......however, the commanders will be held accountable for the over 209 civilian deaths.

They will receive a fair trial, according to the Somali constitution, and will be provided with legal representation.

Iidoor commanders must realise if caught they will be held accountable for the war crimes committed under their command.

We cannot have a situation where war crimes and crimes against humanity are committed with impunity.
There must be a deterrent affect in place.
