Inadeer is a lot of this not the moral high ground pedestal universal pluralism of Western Values mindset? Societies determine what is socially acceptable, and what’s not. Somalia by any metric you can imagine is not only a very conservative society, but a closed society. Many of the values found reprehensible in Muslim Majority countries are found just as equally reprehensible in reverse in Muslim countries. Heck forget Somalia I’ve friggin heard of nightclub parties being forcibly ended by Religious folks in Birmingham, frigging ENGLAND!

No, this is the "basic" understanding of justice the world over and even Islam and even paganism.

Every single human culture recognizes the "judge" and the "executioner" not only have to be different but co-equal.

Basic Somali Xeer customary law formed in the desert bush by nomads not even united in a system establishes "gar qaad" or adjudication and establishes the need for difference between judge and executioner.

When a charge/allegation/claim is made, both sides sit in a gogal with a mutually accepted arbitrator who then caries out justice "garqaad/xukum."

First of all that place is a nightclub that is number 1.. And second of all they are playing loud music and neighbours not far away and I believe due to complaints they are caught red-handed and the flogging was for displining them.. That is the definition of somalinimo and they took it well themselves it is like a parent flogging his kids.

Nothing major really.. People should first assess the situation before they open their mouth.

Ahki what if you daughter was there nightclubbing? Too many illegal nightclubs in Mogadishu some of them too loud hence some of them are closed down with police complaints if they sit too close to districts or a place where people live who raising their children, taking care of their parents etc etc.. Nobody wants such a shxt show besides them on the next door.. Ciyaal from the west keep opening nightclubs everywhere for business proposes but some of them are closed by neighbour complaints via the police who then shouts them down due to noise
