Which brings me to this point;
Darod, the 'kinship', and particularly Harti, have brought support to bear for Dhulbahante.
Cumar Maxmuud brought Cumar Maxmuud to Dhulbahante. Reer Bicidyahan brought Reer Bicidyahan to Dhulbahante. When MX and LL sent over 1/2 of million dollars worth of emergency stock injection within the first 3 days, MX & LL did it.
Not Deni, the Mayor of Galkayo, not Galmudug, etc.
Which leaves me to say this is not an 'anti-Puntland' topic. This is a 'pro-Puntland.'
This topic identifies very clearly the threat that political 'instability' poses to Puntland.
Fahima Quuje identifies Siciid Deni as the entity primarily responsible for the fighting in Garowe and she is correct. Deni is using the goal of reaching 1 man/1 vote to make constitutional amendments to Puntland including an extension for himself without "wadar-ogol" (or consensus) and when it is not necessary to hold the next Presidential elections with 1 man 1 vote. It can be held exactly as Deni was "elected" by the electoral college system used since Puntland foundation.
But what is so remarkable about Fahima Quuje's statementa is principally;
- She is speaking for the SSC Garaads and Council of 33. They cannot say a word on this, but wallahul cadiim she is speaking for them and speaking exactly as formulated. Her position is the SSC position.
- And SSC made a choice between 'Deni vs Ciise Maxamuud' and they chose Ciise Maxmuud. Deni did nothing for their movement but only came to piggyback on it after Harti and Majeerteen came to the aid of their kin. Harti helped SSC. Majerten came to the aid of SSC. Maxamud Saleban came to the aid of SSC. Ciise Maxmuud and even Jimcaale came to the aid of SSC. The Bah Dir Rooble sent by Asad Diyaano came to the aid of SSC. THEY ALL CAME TO THE AID OF SSC BEFORE DENI'S ADMINISTRATION EVEN WANTED OR COULD.
Deni has been checked morally and ethically and even encouraged to not deviate from Puntland's path toward good governance and elections on time.
The essence of Fahima's statement is not "anti-Deni," but counsel.
And soon you will see Ciise Maxmuud and even Jimcaale move back towards the impending clearing of Goojacadde once the international ceasefire is terminally broken.
