Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the definition of "power." Regardless of who is in town or even inspite of it, Garbahaarey told Fly 24 Air Service nothing has changed with the ban against pro-Madoobe/pro-HSM officials. HSM and Fiqi and Madoobe not understanding the community of Garbahaarey planned to flout the original ban in place as a show of force.

The airlines adviced well on Gedo Region by now sent disclaimer to Airport command to see who they were taking order from and whether there was a change of policy.

Airport security command said only the council of elders since Mr. Shimbir came into the town and that nothing had changed.

The airline then told Mogadishu airport they cannot allow such and such board. Mogadishu NISA reached sector commanders in Garbahaarey who told them they only recognize and take orders from Garbahaarey's council of elders and were told to start enforcing the ban even more strictly.

The Airplane then simply cancelled the flight altogether.

Shortly afterwards, order came from Madoobe's junta "banning" all FLY 24 Air Services flights from "Jubbaland."



The problem here isn't that FLY 24 Air Services cancelled the flight to Garbo----the problem is Madoobe's junta and HSM do not wield the power they are trying to exercise. Why punish Fly 24 Air for something YOU cannot do, i.e. make Garbahaarey rescind its ban.

These men will not even be a footnote because of the collective irrelevance of their sum tenure in Somali politics.

This man HSM has injuriously damaged something whose poisoned seed might end up ultimately seriously damaging, if it does not completely undo, all and I mean all, post civil war understanding at the basis of national government with broad legitimacy. And this is before even stating the unfortunate reality he has now birthed "precedent" for acting with 'his' community, if not another, the same by another maliciously intentioned "executor" after his current ignominious incumbency has been overcome. .
