Hassan Sheekh's "anti-Shabaab" effort is mainly a public relations gimmick, according to recent deputy mayor and deputy governor of Mogadishu and Benadir Region for security and law enforcement.
The total number of purported Al Shabaab losses at the hands of HSM's government going by official government press release data thus far is allegedly "13, 240."
According to every domestic and international estimate, that number of Shabaab "loses" exceeds the membership of Al Shabaab as a whole.
Contrarily, according to the deputy mayor, Al Shabaab appears to be significantly more powerful now than when HSM took office over a year ago, judging by recent Al Shabaab successes seizing government bases and weapons in multiple regions.
He concludes powerfully with this indictment;
"'Integrity' is the cornerstone of good governance and social good.

Any news on this?

I doubt that's true. Gov been doing crack down on AS members in BRA offices and SFG. Some even managed to flee. One of HSM's bodyguards is among the people arrested. Businesses in Bakaaraha even stopped paying taxes to AS.

OD, that is in fact true. And there is UN Security Council corroboration of this. In fact, this was true under Farmajo government as well. If Abkoow is going to lie about this because of considerations to "fluffing" HSM, then he needs to be written off as disinformation merchant.
Hint: the UN Security Council Shabaab taxes investigation.

And the highway will be reached.
