So recently, we have had the murdered children case where Saleebaan assailants sneak attacked at night murdering children sleeping in a village religious school.
Those children were Marehan from the Wagardhac sub-clan.
The place of the sneak attack was Dacdheer.
Dacdheer is a place that fell to Saleebaan in 1991 due to the circumstances surrounding Muslim vs. Marehan in the civil war. [No explanation, just note it.]
Dacdheer's twin Gaxandhaale similarly fell to Sacad for those reasons.
Both Dacdheer and Gaxandhaale were originally Wagardhac localities.
Starting 2012, Marehan "Mudug/Shilaabo/Doollo" initiated a campaign for "re-expansion" between Wagardhac vs Sacad/Saleevaan, Bah Xawaadle vs Cayr/Dir, Reer Cismaan vs Makaahiil.
Wagardhac reconquered Dacdheer and Gaxandhaale and even much beyond it towards Gelinsoor town.
So Wagardhac has been living and even building Dacdheer to proper village for years now before this sneak attack on the Wagardhac children of Dacdheer
The killing of the children was so noteworthy, in particular the unpalatability exhibited by Wagardhac, that I have been looking for a clue to just what we are in for.
Today I got that clue.
1. Wagardhac and Celi of Marehan are uniting and it is reiterated again and again that the 4 Wards (Afar Waaxood; the political organization by oodwadaag or settlement pattern of MX there) are uniting so Ward X 3 = 3 Wards X 3 = 9 sets of Alliances. A need to a "final solution" to the "neighbors problem" is referenced again and again as objective.
2. In my entire life, from memory that I can remember to right this second, I have never heard of Wagardhac and Celi uniting or even initiation of the sets of Alliances
3. The single last time Marehan Mudug initiated this was "1991" facing the entire USC arsenal and huwan in Muslim vs Mareexaan
In fact, Saleebaan AND Sacad have never fought a Marehan clan "Celi" or "Bah Ogaadeen" or "Bah Xawaadle," etc. They have never fought any single Marehan aub-clan except for Wagardhac.
And similarly Cayr has never fought a Wagardhac or Celi or what have you. They only fight Bah Xawaadle in direct battle.
The case of the children has returned a verdict to me based in what I know, and in fact what they also know about Mareexaan.
If you watch that video which is only the preliminary introduction to the initialization of activating the steps to a "united" campaign, I find very poignant the caliber of the elders present and the references to a "solution" with the "neighbors" whether that is "nabad" (peace) or "col" (war).
What this event triggers for me is the realization we are potentially heading for Marehan instituting serious and generational declaration of belligerence towards "HG."
Knowing everything I know about these issues, I would surmise conflict might even be directly triggered by Marehan throwing down a choice (and really I have realized it was inevitable since the re-expansion started in 2012), or namely;
1. Habar Gidir "recognize" once again the "highway" is the natural, continuing "border" between Marehan and them
2. Face Marehan aggression intent on making the highway the border once again and Gelinsoor " settlement" as a direct target of re-seizure
Now this choice is my educated guess which in the end would only be relevant when and if we got to the stage of starting the physical conflict.
But the point of the topic is this event today which triggered the need to TRACK something the nature of the trigger tells me is the beginning of a process which potentially will birth serious, transformational, watershed type of conflict between MX and HG in central Somalia.
The fact that the initialization has been activated tells me it is a safe bet to assume Marehan has made his mind up for instituting belligerence.
Even so, I will use this topic as a live tracking starting with today's trigger for this need to track serious upcoming potential conflict
I think it's delusional to think that the highway is the border between you and HG , you have no one single village on that road or even close to the road . So obviously the aggregation is coming from your side . And you are using your reer miyi peaple to expand your Territory, which I think is morally wrong . Knowing how insecurity effects their livelihoods.
