The conquering Dhulbahante/ Harti army was ordered not to pursue the iidoors into Burco. They halted their lightning offensive a few kms outside Oog, even though the iidoor militias had been broken and were in full retreat. The road to Burco was totally undefended and lay at the mercy of the victorious SSC liberation forces.

Discussions have begun on a new military doctrine for SSC. It centres around building a huge military garrison outside Oog, and a number of smaller bases/ military outposts along the western border of the nascent SSC State of Somalia.

SSC will develop a small professional well equipped army, and a large national guard force that is able to rapidly deploy in any future war/ crisis.

Everyone over the age of 18 will have to undergo 12 months of national service, not necessarily military. It will cover medical, education and environmental spheres.

The Dhulbahnte have above all resolved to...."Never Again".....be at the mercy of another tyrannical invading force.
