To my knowledge, and certainly after searching, this is the 1st occurrence of its kind ever in memorable history.
Marehan does not invite anyone for 'peace' in Qoroxeey. They simply stand guard over their lands with a rifle and, seeing as they are never the ones encroaching on others, they do not come across the need to appeal to understanding.
Something is different. Marehan is opening up now in Somali Region. You can tell from the new houses in Fadhigaradle. This is no longer the "I am standing guard over my property at night with a rifle because I am denied legal recognition and existence." This is " I have spread open my door and gates to let the neighbors know I have come out of self-imposed isolation."
Whatever it is---this is the 1st time I have seen Marehan Shilabo call anyone to a peace settlement.
But Marehan there have now called on Makaahiil in Caleen for a historic sit down to hash out decades of bad relations between them.
P.S. These guys are not random odayaal. I know them each by name as they are the handful of Nabadoons of Bah-Hawiye that control every single Marehan rifle or tekniko between Shilabo and Guriceel. My nabadoon is among them.
