First of all, I don’t believe for 1 second that Somaliland is going to give a naval base to Ethiopia (their only asset) as that would also ensure them being occupied militarily, controlled politically and economically.

They were merely posturing with regards to their on going negotiations with the FGS.

This game of Brinkmanship, has backfired on Musa Bixi and Somaliland Fanatics HARD. They Just Don’t Know It Yet.

Birmade Hassan Sheikh has proceeded diplomatically and now the US, EU, AU and Arab league have announced they will NOT recognise Somaliland.

Thus, consider the quest for Unilateral Secession Dead and Buried. That pipe dream has well and truly been ENDED by Birmade Hassan Sheikh. They Just Don’t Know It Yet.

Birmade Hassan Shiekh, has well and truly driven them to the point where they are considering cutting their nose off in order to spite their face.

As they have been isolated diplomatically now from the rest of the world (even more so than before (if that’s even possible)), when they go back to the negotiating table they will have to take what the FGS gives them or they can be a colony of Oromia the choice is theirs (call their bluff).

Worse comes to worst, If this deals proceeds which I doubt, then all that will happen is Berbera will belong to Oromia and not Caalaan Caas.

Once the Isaaqs are tamed by the Oromos. The FGS can deal directly with them.The Oromo may even prove to be more reasonable partners for the Somalis than the Cuqdaad Ridden Jeegaans.

Also, when it finally becomes Oromoland (formally Somaliland) I say the FGS give them independence just the to spite the Cuqdaad Ridden Jeegaan (in exchange for Galbeed of course).

In all seriousness, I say to Somalis, start building relations with Oromos for when they officially own Berbera. And work together based on Win-Win cooperation.

Think about it, who’s more reasonable ? The Nobel Jawar Mohammed or Cuqdaad Ridden Muse Bixi ??
