but how can he think that somaliland with somalia together wouldn't be any less of a threat to djibouti than if somaliland was alone independent? berebra will easily beat djibouti ports under either midnimo or gooni-isutaag

if guelleh was clever (i doubt) he should recognise somaliland independence in exchange for both somaliland and djibouti uniting as one loose confederation whereby we share resources, somaliland lets djibouti keep her monopoly over ethiopian trade and guelleh becomes the president of this proposed loose confederation

but this status quo since 18 may 1991 will not last forever, he should take up my proposal otherwise djibouti will lose big time. i dont like bihi and kulmiye but im really happy he done this deal with ethiopia as it gives somaliland a chance to finally join the global community of countries sooner rather than later. this MOU killed midnimo delusions once and for all

Tbh you will not believe the amount of Americans I’ve met who’ve been to Djibouti for military stuff and tell me how much of a shythole it is. So much so to the point I’m embarrassed. They even told me they don’t understand how their president builds palaces over misery. The way they put it to me life on the military base is way better standard then the actual people of Djibouti.


Tbh that fat shuluq Geele is a major failure and whether it’s the permanent unsettled status quo of Somaliland, Somalia it benefits him greatly as it makes him more relevant then anybody else presiding over misery would be.
