Its time for the Somaliland goverment to make peace with the Dhulbahante Qabil and their leaders
It is time for Somaliland to fully reconcile with the Dhulbahante clan. To begin with, we should organise a clan-to-clan conference, where the elders of all the Isaaq subclans, along with those of the Gadabuursi and Ciise, sit down with the Dhulbahante elders. The primary aim should be to discuss peace, prosperity, and reconciliation, avoiding any political agenda. The focus must be on fostering mutual respect among the elders and ensuring that hostilities between clans, including the Habar Jeclo and Dhulbahante, as well as the Habar Yoonis and Dhulbahante, are eradicated.
Once this initial phase of dialogue is complete, we can move on to the next phase, which need not be immediate but should be opened in due course. Concurrently, there should be separate meetings between Khatumo's Firdhiye representative and Somaliland government officials. This parallel dialogue would involve political matters, such as the exchange of prisoners and ensuring that conflict does not arise again. Both sides should refrain from advancing militarily towards one another, and the region should be demilitarised. The Somaliland army would return to its barracks in Caynabo, with Oog patrolled by a modest number of military personnel and police. There is no need for a force of 10,000 men; a small police presence can suffice.
The issue of Ceerigabo must also be addressed. We should agree that the security of all residents, regardless of clan, is paramount. Maintaining peace in Ceerigabo is essential, as a divided city cannot prosper. Therefore, I suggest that if the Khatumo faction wishes to have a voice in Ceerigabo, they could appoint a committee to work alongside the Mayor of Ceerigabo, establishing a form of joint administration. The city would remain under Somaliland's governance, but Khatumo would have a say through this committee, which could be integrated into the city council. This approach, I believe, offers a viable path forward.

I agree with everything you say except for Ceerigabo.
The city should remain united as a divided city inevitably leads to war aka Galkayo. However, the status of the city must be neutral......not Khaatumo nor sl.
It must have a special neutral status like Jerusalem used to be before 1967.

Erigavo District as a whole not only Erigavo city will entirely remain under Somaliland's control, asking for another option is like asking Dhulos and certain Isaaq subclans to stop intermarriages and inbreeding between them.....that will not stop and such unions have never stopped even in the last 2 yearsoriginal dervish wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2024 6:38 pm I agree with everything you say except for Ceerigabo.

Re: Its time for the Somaliland goverment to make peace with the Dhulbahante Qabil and their leaders
so called Khatumo should self govern only districts in Somaliland whereby Hartis more or less make up 100% of the local population, any shared district with partial Isaaq must remain under SL government control
Eventually our neighbour Somalia will officially recognise Somaliland's British made borders and the Dhulos and Warsans will have to accept to again be governed by Somaliland because in the future Somaliland and Somalia will reach an agreement to either split officially into 2 countries along colonial boundaries or we unite as one country but as a confederation of two constituent republics, again along colonial boundaries
Either separation or reunification, I'm confident Somaliland will eventually restore her territorial integrity in full

Never going to happen sxb.
There is no Dhulbahante alive that will ever accept to be under the genocidal regime again.
Khaatumo will govern its areas and people and sl will do the same.

Instead of pleasing the faqash. You better reconcile with your HY cousins . Dhulmahante will never add any positive value to Somaliland . And we will never reconcile with them. Unless we are fully in control of them, which is very unlikely.
The only positive thing we can work with the qurjiiles , is inaanu baadida isu celino. Wixii kaloo dhan waxba Ka socon maayan. Xitaa masaajidadu nagama dhexeeyaan wax kale iska dhaafe . Nin walbaaba wixiisa cirka hala aado. Wixii muran Ku jirana dagaal halagu kala baxo. Nin walbaaba meeshu Ku itaal roon yahay haloo daayo.
