Hassan sheikh and the Bantu Walanweyns should impose more sanctions on Somaliland.

Post by Khalid Ali »

Hassan Sheikh and the Hawiye faction, often referred to as the "Bunker," should consider imposing a series of stringent sanctions on Somaliland. Ironically, an open conflict with the Bunker could be the very opportunity Somaliland needs to further its cause. The Walanweyn, recognizing the counterproductive nature of such actions for their allies in Xamar, seem to be retreating slightly, though the discontent among the northern communities, the "dirty Woqoyis," is palpable. Ideally, the Bunker should remain resolute in obstructing Somaliland’s interests on the global stage erasing Somaliland’s name from international companies, banning Western diplomats from visiting, and generally tightening the diplomatic noose.

This strategy, far from weakening Somaliland, would likely enhance its visibility and garner greater international interest. People will inevitably begin to question the origins and nature of this conflict: why is Somaliland being so aggressively targeted? For Somaliland, two positive outcomes emerge. First, the public relations boost—many more people will become aware of Somaliland's existence and its struggle. Second, the narrative that Somalia, under the Bunker's leadership, is an cadaw an open enemy of Somaliland will solidify, even among those who once harbored sympathy or hope for reconciliation with the walanweyns . This will compel more Somalilanders, regardless of clan affiliation, to unite against the common threat posed by the Walanweyn.

Furthermore, if the Bunker exhausts all its diplomatic measures against Somaliland, we will know they have no further cards to play. However, our response should not stop at diplomacy. We must consider more direct actions—targeted operations within Mogadishu to eliminate high-profile Walanweyn officials. Whether through alliances with Al-Shabaab, the Houthis, or specialized assassination teams, such actions would escalate the conflict beyond mere diplomatic spats, creating a deeper and more enduring hostility.

The Walanweyn are limited in their reach; our security is robust, and while they might attempt to arm local insurgents aka the Qurjiiles, the logistical challenges they face are immense. We, on the other hand, can utilize routes through Ethiopia’s Somali Region (Kilinka Shanaad) to strike deeper into southern Somalia. With Ethiopia and the Bunker now openly open enemies they cannot use Ethiopian territory as a base of operations, whereas we can leverage it to our advantage.

As this conflict escalates, the international community will inevitably intervene, recognizing that their efforts to stabilize Somalia are being compromised. This will force the Bunker to the negotiating table, which ultimately serves Somaliland’s interests. Therefore, we must embrace this conflict as a strategic opportunity. This, I believe, is our best course of action, with further strategies, including potential alliances with the Houthis, to be considered at a later stage.

Khalid you write long ass posts here like you're ChatGPT   but I get where you are coming from, Zoomalia is no threat to Somaliland whatsoever but we have a useless political class particularly the ruling party Kulmiye that doesn't know how to convince foreign countries that they can work with an independent Somaliland. Our country needs to understand the world is much bigger than North America, Scandinavia, UK, Khaleej and East Africa

Do our elites even know about the existence of countries like Belize, Nauru, Cape Verde, Bhutan, Liechtenstein etc etc

wa siday tahay, Indeed, the world extends far beyond Washington and the United Kingdom. It is also very important that we also engage with the core regions and extend our outreach to South America. This is precisely what we need: to forge partnerships with all those who are willing to collaborate with us. We need to have a radical Foreign Policy this is a golden opporuntity really
The walanweyns are assisting us really in this and we need to grab it fully with both of our hands
.

We need to establish people to people relationship i mean if Taiwan convinced 13 countries to recognise her
I mean we can do that to , we can also do better then the sahrawaawi republic and they are recognised by the AU which forced Morocco to leave the AU .

The ever increasing list of faarax who, owing to excessive qabiil rancour, have take a complete leave of their senses, here in SomNet, shows no signs of abatement. A case in point, Ustaad khaalid ongoing barrage of useless threads concerning Mogadishu opposition to the recent amxaaro/somaliland sea-ictiraaf deal, pretty much, qualifies him for the perfect candidate to be confined into a mental asylum.
