Can You answer that one ? what kind of insanity is going in xamar ? you have 40 young people blown up in lido how on earth can any clan allow segments within to do that ? what is the logic ? where are the relatives of the killed youth how come they dont use their military muscle to kick the al shabab out of xamar ? I just dont understand the city of Mogadishu.

Very simple. The average person in mogadishu or hutu lands feels more safer under al shabaab.
For example one can go from xamar the beledweyne and only pay once to Al shabaab. Who will give you a receipt to show at all checkpoints.
While the so called "government check points" each one will want a separate bribe.
A al shabaab court ruling is also final while "government" court ruling means nothing. So if you have dispute over lands and al shabaab gives a ruling you bet your ass both parties will follow the ruling to the letter while the government ruling you can wipe your ass with.
You see one follows up while the other doesn't.

It is quite straightforward, Kacdoon, and I shall explaine it for you. The Hawiye people and their politicians often employ the so called “bunker government” primarily as a vehicle for securing aid and financial resources, rather than for actual governance. This arrangement is essentially a means of accumulating funds. In reality, however, the vast majority of the Hawiye population relies on Al-Shabaab as the de facto government for the execution of daily administrative tasks.
Al-Shabaab, in fact, administers tax collection from major businesses and, as Nomand has noted, many individuals feel a greater sense of security under their administration. The efficiency of justice is also notably enhanced through the judicial processes implemented by Al-Shabaab courts.

I am actually shocked.... I did not think Al Shabab had this much land control? even in Hiraan and Benadir region ? I always though they were remaning in pockets of lower jubba and central somalia
but even if al shabaab is real authority why does shabaab get out of alienating their own base by blowing up hawiye civilians and is the benefits of shabaab rule really worth it for the hawiye population if they get blown up ?

Well blowing stuff up is complicated. Sometimes al shabaab blows something up to install fear. But mostly it is rival business men blowing up their competitors.KacdoonSool wrote: Mon Sep 16, 2024 1:35 am I am actually shocked.... What about the dooros and eelay and sankadhuudhis. They too are are completely controlled by alshabaab. No mareexan can drive a car from one district to the other. They fly . I bet dooros especially ilko yar Have more airports than schools.
That shows you the legitimate government of the land is actually alshabaab. The only reason why the west are not giving up against alshabaab is because they are terrorist organisation thats very ambitious. To conquer the world near them. But it's more likely alshabaab to take similar approach as the Talibans. More nationalists are joining them.
It's waste of resources to fight against them. It's way better to open dialogue. First they must stop killing civilians then they must be allowed to take over Somalia in few years time. I believe alshabaab is the only hope for the somalis to have a proper government. That's feared and respected.
Maamulkan yaree hawiye waa puppet. Wax alaale wuxu yahay ma jirto.
