Ethiopia is in the midst of a civil war where in Oromia, Tigray, Amhara the Government lost control over large swathes. Has anybody noticed how Western Governments have been silent, and propping up Abiy? If Abiy was Somali, Ethiopia was Somalia they’d be working overtime to keep it in chaos.

This is why I always thought Somali disunity was the stupidest thing you are a small nation with no friends!

I never said Somalia is where it is because of anyone else’s fault but their own. It’s not a excuse to say other countries interfere because every country has some degree of interference.

That said it isn’t lost on me that Ethiopia isn’t anywhere near the same level of interference as Somalia nor is there vultures swarming around.

Btw who said foreign troops in Somalia were asked for by Somalis? UN forced them upon Somalis using some loser bums, but in any event the average Somali looks at them as occupiers.

Ethiopia is a fked up nation, the somali qabyaalad is very localized , Ethiopia has no clans but huge ethnic groups. Their wars are destructive and widespread.

What benefits do western governments have in keeping somalia destitute and in chaos? more somali refugees that flee to their country? This narrative that others (exc kenya and ethiopia - even here im skeptical) are working overtime to keep us from rising needs to stop.
