For non-faqash skinnies of note, specifically, hawiye and iidoor, oo dulmi tabanaayey under siyad barre brutal tyranny, yes, it was absolutely, 100% all worth it. On the flipside though, for certain segments within the faqash community, specially, those who were deemed instrumental in helping ina barre stay in power far longer than he would have otherwise, and were, in fact, lavishly recompensed for their loyalty, of course, for them, the eventual overthrow of the dictator was the worst nightmare imaginable, as it was ultimately bound to place them in a exceedingly precarious situation in terms of preserving their own hides.

Indeed a dark day. If only FarhanYare knew the result was him claiming asylum in Australia claiming Darood years after that.
Ustaadh Barabossa,
Word on the street is Abdiwahab252 received a blessed apple from Caydiid that day. Is there any commemoration of that day he observes involving apples?

Ustaad, I am not the least familiar with that significant historic event where ustaad AW was awarded, by none other than mujaahid Ceydid, the much coveted HAG Holly Apple, so, I therefore, pray to be excused for the reluctance, on my part, to venture into making further comments on the matter. Having said that though, I do still have a piece of AW-related news story that I wish to share with the esteemed SomNet members.
A couple of weeks or so ago, an intelligence of no small moment reached me concerning the long-wondered whereabouts of our mutual dear old friend, AW.
According to intimate relations\friends of the legendary former USC cadet,Β ustad Abdiwahab, has, for nearly three years now, disavowed, body and soul, the fadhikurir way of life. He, instead, is said to have since embarked on a spiritual journey, retreating into a remote mountainous region, not far from an ancient ancestral village of his, deep into the southern mudug valley, called Sedex Higlo. In the backdrop of the above admirably painted panoramic surroundings, the newly-minted "hermit" ( if I may be permitted to term it as such), does, indeed, appear to be intent to wholly dedicate the balance of his term of life in contemplative pursuits.
To sum it up, Ustad abdiwaha aduunka dhan faraha uu kala baxey to the point that, with other than a handful of devoted maiden servants ( whose job it is to assist their master with what little bare necessities of daily chores he may still require), the "Monk of Sedex Higlo", as he is now dubbed, has zero contact with the outside world.
