Problems of chewing Qaad/Jaad

Post by S_lander-boy »

Salaam all

If am not wrong and try to list the what kills a nation: in my humble opion is :

1 - Lack of Justice or equality
2 - Tribalism went too far -creating enimity and see (1)
3 - Economic failure
4 - Natural disasters like droughts like TSunami
5 - and Qaat or Jaad Or Qaad

In our case Qaad created greal deal of hardships, once economy is the heart and blood of a nation, Qaad destroys that entity. Tell me how many COOL million dollars Kenya and Ethopia receives from somalia every other day? you kindly tell that please!!!

hence Qaat not only drain the economy of the nation, amplifying Wars and enimity and creating atomsphere of corruption and malnaturition.

It also destroys the family hegmony and kills the affection and love between the Families(men and women) - in other words it create seperations and divorces.

The problem of Qaad is even too much mence to the diaspora rather than home, young men don't enjoy sports and health activity, it kills the appetite for food and nutrition.

It's also have a great mental handicap, most of our young people didn't get benfit of higher education abroad because of Qaad or Jaad.

It makes us poor and un healthy, if not crazy.

===== so can anybody please comment how we gonna get rid of this unGodly habit. ====== your comments are most welcome!!!!
Many thanks and Kind Regards

While are nations getting poorer are neigbors are getting richer furthermore the tolerance of drug use among employers drops to zero, khat users will find themselves closed off to many best jobs. Thus, because of unemployment and low-paying jobs, khat use will damage the financial status of individuals, families, and communities. While more research is always desirable to better understand the small details, we know enough now to say clearly that the use of khat should be discouraged.

According to Wikipedia, qaad is a flowering plant native to tropical East Africa. It's no wonder qaad is imported from Kenya, Ethiopia and other tropical East African countries. AFAIK, qaad doesn't grow much in Somalia. I am curious; when did Somalis begin to chew it? And was it introduced to them via Kenya, Ethiopia or other tropical East African countries? And how come Kenyans don't chew much qaad; haven't they discovered how good it is?

PH.D., so, you're saying Somalis didn't know qaad before the independence? I'll google to make sure of that.

qudhac,
how do you restrict qaad? if its there people are bound to abuse it, especially when there are so many social and ecomonic problems such as the very high rate of unemployment in somaliland, you can say people should have the dicipline not to abuse it but you live in a country with lots of opportunities but this people dont.
