I told couple of my African American friends that cousin marriages are the norm back home in Somalia!. And they couldn't stop laughing!. I got really pissed at em, and started cussin em, and they stopped laughing, but the motherfuccers laughed hard at me!!.

Do you talk to any of your gaalo friends about Somalia and our culture?. Did you tell any gaalo about our first cousin marriages?.

Did u tell them it was a faqash custom and that not all Somali tribes practiced it?

Dude, are u kidding me? I find bringing up the whole subject of marriage to be quite---a turn off...not a great way to score.. Aint nobody wanna "get it on" with some1 they think is an inbred even though i aint.

if u mean cousins -the type that are just the same tribe- maybe.....lakiin first/second cousin marriages aren't exactly the norm

marrying your cousin is like a "hail Mary" sort of thing. a "desperation" ... that means, you striked out, rejected, can no longer find a wifey/husband. it's one of those things that only lionheart would be doing.
