Why are some somali parents obsessed with reputation.

Also they are obsessed with education i know its good but sometimes even they are over the top like if their kid is dumb they treat him/her like some outcast idiot or saqid when they ant they just not that bright, my parents are not that obsessed but there is some middle ground like they give advice and say try your best. sOME PARENTS SEE IT as a trophy to show of with other parents even worse than the indians and even work harder for this than the religion sometimes i have seen some of my peeps parents like this its good but sometimes it overlaps islam like they work harder for the dunya than aqhira sometimes and the loving they should give to their son/daughter even if some go through that the somali community will hate them anyway or for another reason, wallahi our community hate success, we live of hate come.


Its not all about show of and reputation be yourself even some show of in the religion just for the show offness.
