The fact of the matter is, 70% of the world's population belongs to the three most inhumane, illogical and unjust religious empires. 33% of these are your western counterparts belonging to Christianity. Christianity, Hinduism and Islam are all intellectually decapitating religions and they are nothing but allegory and tools of domination over the vulnerable few.

Liondoqon, A true atheists is a humanist. He does not have to submit his will to a fictitious and cruel God who only teaches intolerance. There is no doctrine or purposeful explanation necessary from atheist, his choice, if truly real is just the simple factual realization of his human condition, one which is Godless and perpetual silence in a vast universe.

Atheism is not about domination or the subordination of others to your will; it is a higher level of self-awareness and existence which sees beyond blind ignorance and the perpetual sense of defeat and human loneliness. Human existence is not based on guilt and redemption, predestination and a George Lucas notion of Good and bad.

The atheist population is a few, about less than 5% of the world's religious populations. Why? If it is the most bluntly immoral and uninhibited form of belief, as you have declared, then why are the majority of these hypocrite theists not becoming atheists? After all, the cruelest men in history, and the present have been the most devote theists. The answer is simple; atheism requires an advanced level of human intuition and independent reasoning only found in a few. The true man who goes to seek God in religion will come back empty handed. He will find that "GOD" has been fundamentally disproved in religion. The theist man on the other hand, will submit his whole self and betray his natural and fundamental throne to self-existence, to gain a few worldly pleasures and some idiot rights to the mythical memoirs of allah and a Holy ghost.

Pat Robertson and Ahmadinejad have also opened up a rather wide canyon. It is the True Believers on both sides that I find most frightening.

Politicians at least have to deal with political reality and consequently compromise. Religious leaders and theocrats have no such limitations. They can all preach "no compromise with the Devil" until the cows come home or the world starts fighting over the high place at Megido.

Personally, I have no difficulty finding the Lord in my own back yard. It is only in the precincts of organized religion that I have difficulty finding Him. I have often wondered if Atheists have simply not been properly introduced? Certainly many of them have values and morals superior to many of those of the religiously inclined. As DD has pointed out elsewhere, they have a superior track record where it comes to marriage.

My experience with Atheists is that they are far from dumb. I do, however, wonder what is in that water up in Canada????

Advocator, I guess the muktaar-like behaviour is common characteristic among you religious Muslim boys, how wonderful!!. It seems you have never met an atheists or the like because you think they are some wild -savage people inhibited by nothing. I wish I could convince you otherwise, but like muktaar, you are a waste of my time. The truth is A person's personality, and inherit internal nature defines the strength and path of their faith. Religion will not make you more human if you are a cruel and insensitive person, but religion for such people is akin to using a neuroleptic to treat psychosis, it doesn't really do anything good for the person but it just masks the symptoms. So if the allegory of allah will make you live one more day, please continue.....not everyone has the capacity to undertake such pragmatic paths.
