Is beauty a blessing or a curse?

Forget about downplaying the definition of beauty and claiming that it is in the eye of the beholder (that is crab), anyone knows what is beautiful and what is not unless they have Rhino vision.

Now, are you beautiful? How has it affected your day to day life? Are you approached by strangers with unnecessary compliments when you are not in the mood? Are you getting extra attention and getting away with a lot of things that would've otherwise put an ugly person in hot soup? How about the envy looks of the not-so-pretty ones? Do you rely on your beauty instead of your brains? How did it helped it you?

If you consider yourself an average, you really are ugly you just don't know it yet.

My parents should'v named me "You are so beautiful" cuz that's all I hear everyday. Very Happy

Of couse it's a blessing, God loves beautiful things.

Being beautiful is a blessing. I have a friend who is very beautiful (mashaallah) and people treat her like a celebrity. Guys offer to pay for her bus fare and stuff...........it's jokez

It's a blessing but it can be a very dangerous thing sometimes. When u look like, you have stalkers following you around just to get one gaze at your face or ass....so it can be both. May Allah protect us beautiful people.

People say to me, "You're beautiful," but I just don't think that I am walahi. I think that I'm OK.

Being beautiful can be a curse if you get EVERY type of nutter becoming interested in you. Ewwwwwwwwww

I think its a bit of both.... sometimes you are flattered, sometimes you're not.

It can also be intimidating for some guys aswell, from my experience!

Walaahay I am not joking. I have noticed one thing, beautiful people have a greater advantage over the average looking people in this country. One of my brothers is extremely handsome and people tend to praise him all the time even though the average one is more and more responsible than him in every way. He always gets jobs more easily than the other one. Shocked

I think the curse of it far supercedes the blessing of it.

Women hating on you for nothing.

Parents choosing you more than the rest--thereby bringing unnecessary sibling rivalry.My Parents always loved taking me to public & showing me off. Rolling Eyes

Excessive superficiality character increase: Being Beautifu, you have to know how to be charming to people & pretend you remember their names.They always remember my name. Rolling Eyes

Big Liar: You have to be a good liar-- men come on to me & i have to come up with a story --to get them off my shoulders.You understand right? Smile

Blessings:

Natural Confidence. I think my beauty & height has helped me have a fantastic confidence in myself.

Every job i applied -- i got it right away. In fact a co-worker confessed to me saying-- he hired me because i was gorgeous.I said i resent that naturally--- but hey coming to think of it-- i was pleased. Smile

Everytime i want a favor--- its done, no question asked.

I am photogenic!

I can get away with ANYTHING! -- All i have to do is--wiggle my puppy large dark eyes-- & i own whoever is starring through them! Laughing

I guess--- at the end of the day-- I thank my parents genes--especially my mom --whom i am compared to every time. Laughing
