Post by X.Playa »

Any of you people know where I can get old out of prints books on Somalia with in reasonable prices. I was looking for this Book.

1- SEVENTEEN TRIPS THROUGH SOMALILAND AND A VISIT TO ABYSSINIA with Supplementary Preface on Mad Mullah Risings.
SWAYNE H. G. C,

Price $600??? now thats a rip off,

I was about to pay alot of money for this other classical book "Sun Sand and Somals" written in 1921 by a D.C for $270 U.S.D. At the last minute after sreaching the entire net, i found it for free on line..

So u never know, what u kind find in the net sometimes.fucken book wasn't even worth it, iam glad i didn't buy for the junk. Only good thing about it was The Chapter about the Fall of Taleex and his first hand account.

The prices these books go for are just ludicrous!

739 bucks for a used book and they say it's a "low price" book. I'd prefer books written by Somalis, but these are even scarcier. What I've seen are Arab and Western books and they have a detached narrative that is not recognizable to me.

Libraries do actually have some, but I guess it all depends where you live.
